I am over the lack of care this man has for Greene Co roads....I understand funds are low but he uses what little he has for unneeded things. And the Snapps Ferry job is pitiful! He has to go!

You are freaking stupid! He does a tremendous job. Why don't you go talk to him about some glorious plan you have for the roads. I would love to be a fly on the wall there. LMFAO!

Please see Kite Road, Carters Valley, Delta Valley, John Graham, and Flatwoods Roads if you think so highly of him. I hope he pays for your car to be realigned.

Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will all of the Greene County roads.

Just give it a little time. The asphalt plant will allow us to stretch our county's funds a little further and get more roads paved. I have talked to a state employee that works for TDOT and he even said that they did a good job with Snapps Ferry.

Do you realize that when he came into this position the old super had spent every lasy penny & sold most of the equipment/tools that were there? Evidently you have never spoken with David on this matter or he would let you know about how poorly things were run befor. This has made his job 10x harder, having to start over. Everytime I've called him for work on my road, he's made sure that within 2 weeks it was done. Take a little time to talk to him, explain the problems you're experiencing & I bet you will have a different perspective when you come away. I wouldn't vote for anyone else! David Weems, keep up the good work!!

He is an idiot, along with the rest of our great leaders. Why do we need to spend the money for an asphalt plant when we can purchase asphalt for the same price from summers Taylor. We have money for the roads to be fixed or I thought that's why we pay a wheel tax.

Seems like we hear these same comments about different peope in office. If any one of you compaining can do a better job then why didn't YOU run for road superintendent? We heard the same bs when Mr.Jones was in office.

No but they were paved. Now David's had them turned back to gravel with pot holes the size of tractor tires.

Guess you missed the paving of Horton Hwy where David and the boys spent most of the day under the trees at Zion Church instead of paving the road. That's quality time management in my book too (input sarcasm).

I travel the roads of rural Greene County frequently and have seen some roads in serious condition... BUT ... the man is doing the best he can with what little the County gives him to run with. After all isn't Greene County one of the largest (if not the largest) County in the State ? We need to raise real estate taxes 2 to 3 cents to get some money back into the budget. Yes, I know it's "hard times" but this County has clipped and cut all it can and it has to face the fact that without more money coming in, services have to be decreased.

Why should I run for super, when he was elected to take care of all roads not just a select few. Im sure that Mr.Jones got his share of complaining too.

No, David is not a friend/relative of mine. When these country roads were chat/pug mixed, that isn't pavement for all of you who don't actually know what your talkin about, it's a rock that has a little of concrete in it. Which is a CHEAP way of trying to "Pave" a road. The Super befor him knew these roads wouldn't last but he didn't care. Now David is trying to right all the wrongs made by the former Super & doesn't have the money or resources to do it. If all you people that are blatently b*tching would like for your taxes to rise to help pay for everything, by all means call David & tell him you would be glad to donate to the road fund. I'm sure he will be happy to take that money & put it toward fixing your road! Some people amaze me, ignorance does breed in this town & you all have shown just how deep the hillbilly blood runs!! Either try & make a difference or shut the h*ll up! I'm sure most of you didn't even vote & if that's the case, your opinion means nothing!

Your comment puzzles me. I have not only offered money but also my time to get some sort of funding here in this podunk town. If you think that you can do a "better" job, then by all means, run for Super at the next election. Lets see what kind of "difference" you make. The county records are all public, so why don't you ask to see them. That way you can see exactly what this man has to work with. When there are NO funds, there is NO way he can move forward. I, myself would hate to have his job, especially with people like you who b*tch about it but do nothing to help. Either step up to the plate or step off the conversation!
