This it?

A car was reported stolen from a West Irish Street residence sometime Friday afternoon.

The owners had left town around noon on Friday and returned home Sunday to find that the 1999 Honda Civic was missing. The car is black with four doors and is valued at $2,000.

Are you aware that in the State of Tennessee you can sell a car that is 10yrs old or older to a scrap yard for parts/metal? Are you aware that if someone steals your 10yr old car and sells it to a junkyard, you have NO recourse against the junkyard. The person that sold them the car would get charged with stealing the car and you would have to sue them to get you money back. Are you aware that most people who would steal a car and sell it to a junk yard are broke and have no assets? So, when you sue them for the value of the car and get a judgement against them, you can't get crap because they don't have crap. If I were you, I would check the junkyards. A piece of crap just stole and sold me car to a junk yard. The value of the car was about 8000 dollars. New paint, new motor, new interior. Classic car. The person at the junkyard said he knew the guy didn't own it since he bought it for $500, but he didn't care because he was in the business of making money and has no liability.

The prick at the junk yard needed his a$$ beat on site for admitting that. Of course, you would've got hauled to jail. This is what's wrong with the world. No one gives a rats a$$ about anyone but themselves anymore. The world we live in is in a sad state my friend. Sorry that happened to you.

I omitted from my post that in the State of Tennessee you can sell a car that is 10yrs old or older for scrap/parts WITHOUT A TITLE. You do not have to prove ownership. Junkyards are making a killing. They know the people they are buying them from don't own them. The guy he bought my car from could have put it on the side of the road and priced it for $3000 and sold it the same day with no problem. Just saying, junkyards are getting fat, thieves get smacked on the hand, and the owner gets the shaft.
