There is another sister whose name is Vickie. Married to and divorced from Roger Vest many years ago.

I am with sassy. Jim and his brother are still farming, I believe. Just good people. I have heard that the sisters are all above "where they come from."

Mr. Wilds was one of the best teacher's I ever had. He taught me how to be a good mechanic but more than that he taught me about life and what the real work world would be like. I don't imagine he'll see this because he never cared much about what people said or thought about him and definitely not in an old gossip column like this. He just always said you ought to stand up for what you believe in. Mr. Wilds, if you do by chance read this I just want to thank you for all that you taught me and the rest of your students.

I'm pretty sure you're referring to Jim Wilds. I've known him for years and he is a fine fellow. I know him from all the way back in his Ford Dealership days. He always took good care of his customers and I imagine he's an excellent teacher. It's good for these kids to get some good old fashioned lessons on how to treat a customer.

I once owned a 1979 or 1980 Ford Fiesta that I bought new from Town Gate Ford. When I got to the first winter with it, I found out that the heat would blow way, way hotter out the driver's side than the passenger's side. I mean like night and day difference. It would cook the driver if you got it warm enough for the passenger or freeze the passenger if the driver was comfortable. After the crack staff was unable to find the problem, old Service Manager Jim told me that "there was nothing wrong with it...it's the way it was designed to work." Well, I soon traded it away, but never again with Town Gate. I told him that he was the best I had ever seen at telling people that they didn't have a problem.

Well Customer....I sure never seen anything like that out of Jim myself. He was always honest with me and I even followed him with my business when he moved to the Dodge dealership.

That is exactly the way it happened. I have no reason to lie and have said nothing else about him. Maybe he was told to say that because they were unable to fix it.

I had Mr Wilds for a cpl years. Good man, good teacher. He was like the dad that I didn't have. In his class when his dad died. Liked to kill the man. Never saw someone so loyal. Being a good teacher doesn't begin to explain him.
