I am making a prediction that before the next presidential election, martial law will be enacted or the Constitution will be shreded and Obama will remain in office for a 3rd term.

Also... Arms manufacturers will be nationalized and taken over by the federal goverment.

Crazy you say??? Well... a short 10 years ago Americans never conceived of death panels used to determine who receives health care or who gets a pain pill to go home and die.

Get your house in order because the dark man comith ... a line from the movie The Stand

Your stupidity never ceases to amaze me. You certainly have no faith in this great country we live in nor the people who actually make us what we are. You've spent way too much time listening to Rush and all the self-serving fear and hate mongers who prey on the weak minded and ignorant.

while i dont necessarilly subscribe to the first person's theory as stated i do know this "great country" does and has always preyed on it's citizenry and strives to contorl them completely. it seems to me the stupidity being demonstrated here is yours for your naivete'. it is just your sort childish trust, in an entity that has demonstrated time and time again it's duplicity and willingness to grind up all that opose it, that allows the developement of such gross misuse of power. unfortunately the lazy, stupid ,and chumps like you outnumber the rest of us. so we who see go resistantly into the abyss while you go blindly.

Ten years ago, the time before Palin and the other crazed anti-Obamacare Republicans, there WERE death panels. Then and now, we call them INSURANCE COMPANIES! Martial law is usually imposed by the MILITARY when a CIVILIAN government fails to function effectively. The POTUS, technically commander-in-chief, is a civilian. To what end would he attempt to have martial law declared? Not worth the time and effort to get around 22nd Amendment. Does sound like a good pitch for tv series or movie, though. Let the spammer speak!

Hummm, you certainly assume a great deal about me for someone who knows nothing what so even beyond what I post here. Lazy? Stupid? Chump? Lazy....I've worked all my life, mostly two jobs and paid my way thru college. Graduated in the top 20% of my class at UT in 1975. Stupid.....I have a masters degree in Sociology and a Bachelors in business and oh, by the way, when I graduated, I owed nothing to no one, paid my way as I went. Chump.....I'm neither stupid, foolish nor a dolt.
You know some pretty words but beyond that, you said nothing beyond criticising me. Nice try there buckwheat but I'd call that a total fail..........

to start "chump" i didnt call you lazy or stupid though now, since you apparently werent smart enough to understand what i wrote, i am begining to wonder about the stupid part. i said we had the lazy and the stupid and you the chump. so mr college educated and has not comprehension and doesnt know what a double negative is, try to understand what i am saying - squeeze your brain really really hard and try - my statement was that your blind belief that our "great country" is run by those we can trust is practically the very definition of chump. also, i assumed nothing about you. i did however assimilate what you wrote and based my statements ABOUT YOU on that ant that alone. finally, it was you who made assumptions. they were that "greene guy" is "stupid" to a ceaselessly amazing degree. I, as i said before, dont necessarilly agree with him but find his paranoia safer and smarter than your blind naivete'.

yes i wrote it dumb@ss. if you could read and had even a little comprehesion you would see that i spoke of 3 separate type of peopl. the lazy the stupid and chumps like you. of course now i stand corrected. you are all three. the chump fo0r reasons previously explained, stupid because you can understand the original sentence describing 3 distinct groups od people, and lazy because you apparentlt are too lazy to go back and read the original. the proble is even if you did your probably too stuid the understand it.

I don't think what you're saying is all too far fetched. For the American people to vote a president into office two terms who by his own account in his writings says his mentors are devout socialists and communists, we have problems.

Martial law being imposed is not a stretch. We are almost $17 trillion in debt, a staggering number that Obama continues to accelerate, as increasing the number of people who are on the government dole. I see one of two things potentially happening. First, the government has no choice but to reign in spending when China comes knocking, which would hit many hard and create waves of protests and violence. Second, it is possible that the government would attempt to seize private retirement accounts. If this happens, folks like myself would immediately pack my bags and head to DC.

Our country isn't stable and a downward spiral is to come, the depths of which are uncertain. And as to the ObamaCare defender, you're a fool. Even the Dems are now concerned as to how it will be funded and the estimated cost continues to rise. America had the best healthcare system in the world, albeit not perfect by any means. We should have taken small steps to fix what is broken, avoiding the move to nationalization. The federal government fails at operating the simplest of programs/agencies, so not sure what makes anyone this they can effectively control healthcare.

If I had to guess, Obamacare will be repealed/abolished in the next few years. A Dem friend of mine (yes I will admit to being friends with a Dem since its anonymous here LOL LOL) voted for Obama because of the medical care! Now that same individual is freaking out over the projected costs. No matter our political "leanings", I think we are in a downward spiral and it is alarming at best :(

Communism and Socialism are NOT the same; advocates of one system have no love or cooperation for advocates of the other. The president can't listen to both. Martial law is STILL the result of a military takeover of a dysfunctional civilian government with widespread rioting and protests. The president IS the civilian government; so who in the military is going to impose martial law? Would not be so smug about the demise of 'Obamacare.' Phased in, people are learning to LIKE it. As far as the Feds not operating agencies/programs effectively, the citizens seem to like Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. Every time some proposal for reduction/adjustment of either is made by a Congressional wingnut, the response is definitely negative.

I completely understand that Socialist and Communist are not the same and didnt imply such, hit Obama looked up to both by his own admission. With that said, he had created his own mold of overpowering government. I used martial law loosely, in saying that I feel it very possible for the military being released to secure the government from civilians who are fed up and ready for change, no matter the cost. The examples I listed are the two most likely ways that may come about.

As for citizens loving government programs, I don't disagree, but I hope people will wake up to see that their reliance of these massive programs only puts their liberty to shreds and further weakens our country. Eventually, people are going to have to take some personal responsibility or our great nation will crumble.

People love Social Security and Medicare because they think they are getting something for free. It is their money anyway, and they are both going broke, at least partly due to the programs' administrative costs. What's not to like?
