Could it be that the person that mentioned Mr. Conduff and Lee actually had a crush on Mr. Conduff?

Reading all these post and all the poetry she must have been loved by a lot of people. To bad the man that ended her life did not love her in the way others seem to.

I think "saying nothing and wishing you had" hurts the most because you will never know what could have been.

I don't know about any crushes and I didn't know who this Lee was but I was in class with her sister Deborah and there was flirting going on between student and teacher. Kinda makes me sick to think about it now.

<quoted text>You knew Debra but you didn't know Lee but you knew Debra was Lee's sister??? I'm no Perry Mason but you need help with your story before you present it again. Go practice some, read and reread, edit it a little, then come back and let us see what you got.
Not that it is any of your business, but since your brain is so limited, let me explain. I had seen the topix about these two individuals several times but only became interested when I saw the picture of "Lee" on the Greeneville Sun page. I thought it was Debra at first. So I go wow she looks like Debra. I then, for the first time, click on to topix about Lee Gunter. I even continued to think maybe Lee was Debra's middle name. After reading further, I knew the age at death and all could not be talking about Debra. Well, hopefully that will explain why I do know Debra, went to school with Debra and that I really don't know Lee but now I do know that Debra had a sister named Lee. By the way, one last thing before you come back with something else -- I have not seen or heard about Debra since grade school. Lastly, I may not have realized it then, but yes it was genuine flirting!!!

<quoted text>Uh, it became everyone's business when you posted, that is the point of Topix. Debra and Lee looking alike is a little shaky but they were sisters. Alma Lee Shelton Gunter having a middle name Debra, we are entering the absurd here. Perhaps your reasoning in your youth was no better than it is now, flighty and suspect. I know, you know flirting when you see it, excuse me but was it Lee flirting with Conduff, or Conduff flirting with Lee, or Debra flirting with somebody or somebody flirting with Debra, very, very confusing. Oh what a tangled web.......
I was there too. It was both flirting with both. I'll not share which sister I was in class with. You need to read that post again. They thought Debra's middle name was Lee. Frankly it didn't bother me. The more they flirted around the less classwork Conduff gave us.

WOW!!!! off topic...give Lee some respect and for you that don't know Debra from Alma Lee(and that is a stretch). I think the post was to pay honor to a woman that had been murdered and murdered at a young age by her husband. Her little children were left without a mother and all you can think about is someone flirting. Shame on you for being so insensitive toward the deceased.

I am happy someone remembered her.

I can understand the worry. After all adults and minors issues can be brought up years later. It never fails how one's sins surface at some point in life.

<quoted text>Strange, a mind which would conjure up thoughts of a young girl being flirted with and flirting with a teacher on a post of the celebration of that girls life as a memorial on the anniversary of the girl being brutally murdered by her husband. The only worry I have is there are sick, sick people out there who would do such a thing.
You may not realize this but you are just fueling the fire with this informative person. You come across as, well I am not going to say. You need to read over your posts carefully and you may see what the rest of us are seeing.

No person in their right mind comes on topix to celebrate anything. Put a person's name on here and we all know what happens. PLEASE, JUST READ OVER YOUR POSTS BEFORE IT GETS WORSE.

I am a friend of the family and all this just hurts them all over again. It does not matter if you put something kind or bad. If you are sincere in wanting to remember Lee as I called her then buy an ad in the Greeneville Sun or take a flower and place on her grave but don't come on topix.

If any of what is being said is actually true then it's the teacher that was wicked. I had a teacher try and flirt with me in high school and when I ignored his gestures I got bad grades. He's dead now and good riddens to him.

<quoted text>Topix is a forum which is read by a huge amount of people in Greene County. I feel sorry for the friends and family who are hurt by things that were good about Lee, she was special. If they cannot withstand the bad things said about her, then I feel sorry for them on that part to, because the Lee I knew was a fighter and could care less what was said about her from feeble minded self righteous people. If you are a friend of Lee or a family member of Lee and do not like this site then don't come here, take out an ad in the paper, something I have never seen or go to her grave an place a flower, something again I have never seen, but I am sure some have done so. I do not think Lee would be hurt or embarrassed by this site so those are the feelings I regard, none else.
When someone thought up the word clueless your name must have come to mind.

Meeting someone and falling in love is one thing. Meeting someone and falling in love and killing them is another. Hence there is no logic to your statement.

after he murdered my aunt most of us Shelton's never saw or heard from them again. Floyd's parents raised the two. One lives in Knoxville I am told. I miss my cousins and only have little memory of them. Alma Lee was a beautiful loving mother trapped in a bad situation. Our family has suffered the loss of her and her children. As for Floyd j hope he has begged for forgiveness. Percella and Sabrina I have searched for you for a long time. As for their children you are my family too.
