There is also something called "universal precautions". They should be practiced at a healthcare facility AT ALL TIMES and be top priority. This means IF there were bodily fluids anywhere, the employees should not have left the site of spill until it was cleaned up and disinfected. Are you really OK with sitting down near blood from a random person? STUPID!!!!

The nurses are busy taking care of dying patients and sewing up the ones that are bleeding to death. They need to hire some housekeepers at night. People don't just bleed and vomit in the daytime. The nurses are busy doing their job.

Oh I'm so sorry your beloved family member got into a horrible car accident and is bleeding to death. Hold on a sec while I finish cleaning up a few drops of blood in another room.

I'm betting it didn't happen this way. Heard they were moved to another room and it was nasty also. Must of been several bleeding to death car accidents that day. If I go to a motel and find the room like that, I'm not staying in it. I'll also say that it's a heck of a lot cheaper than the emergency room at a hospital!

Apparently they left the hospital before seeing a doctor so this visit probably didn't warrant an ER visit and should have visited regular physician

If they're was just ONE nurse on duty, you could argue she was busy and couldn't clean.....not excusable anyway...there are always two or three nurses, more than one dr and cna's working at any given time. That don't include lab techs and other medical personnel. It should have been cleaned up immediately, regardless of who made the mess. You don't go to the hospital to catch other illnesses. I don't blame Jess at all for what hell she raised. I would have too.

At least she didn't beat up a nurse like someone did a coach at the YMCA... I would have been worried if it were the same person as in this thread... http://www.topix.com/forum/city/greeneville-t...

As a parent, I would only take my child to an ER if it were really warranted. She went in, pitched a fit, and then left. Has she been investigated? Her child was bad enough off to be at an ER but left without having the child treated?

TennCare? I hear they complain more often and a lot louder about every little thing than those who ACTUALLY pay for services rendered.

Couldn't resist taking that jab huh? To be quite honest, if I was in the ER and seen that, no matter of how I intended to pay, I would be quite upset and demand it cleaned. That isn't a complaint either by the way. It is a request to be in an environment that is as sterile as possible (aka hospitals). Would you feel so dismissive about this if a child had gotten into blood and contracted HIV?

I agree with parent, on WJHL the complaining parent left the ER but waited until the next day to seek further medical treatment, her own statement. Really.... Seems like there does need to be more investigation. Would that not be neglect on her part? Just saying... Would make me wonder if she "faked" the pictures. Really nice of WJHL to go to her "salon" for the interview too.

There actually were people being treated from a pretty serious car accident around the time of the "incident". Comparing a facility that treats trauma to one that is designed for hospitality and accommodations seems to miss the mark. Then again, if you go to a motel and expect to get injuries treated, I suppose you will get what you pay for.

If people have touched the carts/doors/etc. at Walm-Mart or the grocery store, they have touched worse than this. Swab those areas, do some lab testing for pathogens and blood borne diseases, and those carts are much worse than a few drops of blood in the floor.

I would bet money this is Jessica posting here. I would not doubt the scene was staged. Everyone knows she has to be center of attention constantly.

Have you ever spend some time in an ER? It's not just car accidents that come in. People come in with suicide attempts and work related injuries. Children come in with broken noses and head injuries. I think LMH does a pretty good job keeping the hospital clean considering how many pints of blood people lose there daily. I can't believe someone is going to sit there and complain about a few drops of blood and then drag their kid away against medical advice. They need to quit putting so much work on the nurses and hire some housekeepers so the nurses can focus more on taking care of the patients. Yes there is more than one nurse but there is also more than one patient.
