Soon we'll be in another war in the middle east. Wars are always good for the economy. It's already starting to grow by leaps and bounds thanks to the Democrats leadership. That's some good news.

Jar Head- I like you. I like your posts. I have no issue with you but you are missing my point. I am not a democrat and I am not naive. I am not commenting on the president and his role in our current society. That is a different direction to go in. I have my own views on his job rating and most of them are not positive but I also believe that the crumbling of the family began before he took office. When money got tight and things were bleak previous generations tightened up, buckled up, and cut back. Things are bleak today but how many people do you see cutting back on things? Very few.
I agree with what you are saying but it seems things have accelerated under the Obama administration. It saddens me to see that our country has become such a welfare state and I don't see it getting any better for a long time, if ever. Can you imagine what would happen if the gov't suddenly cut all assistance by even just 10%?

The worst part for me is that our economy is not structured for people to be able to save money. Now the president wants to make college affordable for everyone. It sounds great on paper but the law of supply and demand will prove otherwise. If you flood the workforce with college graduates you have in essence made the Bachelors degree worthless. That will price more people out of the entry level jobs that are already scarce. If you think people are too good to work now wait until they get a college degree.

Agreed!

It seems bad to think this, but it is the only way I could describe him taking presidency. Obama was elected president via affirmative action on the greatest scale. America wanted to show just how different and culturally accepting we are now. We are so accommodating to all races, a majority turned their head and voted in ignorance, but had good intentions. As you said, this problem started a long time ago. I myself put blame on my ancestors as well. Had they not been so cruel and morally shallow, this nation wouldn't categorize people by color. By those who refused to treat African Americans, Mexicans, Native Americans, and women as a whole like human beings, the following generations pay for it.

I agree with you 110% on the affirmative action. The only reason we have Obama in the first place is because he is a black guy. Period.

That is how he got a law degree, all Obama had to do is walk through the doors at Harvard and Obama was automatically handed a doctorate in law. No questions asked. In fact, because of affirmative action and the special privileges that blacks are entitled to just because of their skin color, blacks don't have to compete in a fair way. They aren't evaluated based on their performance, instead they are given passing grades based entirely on affirmative action and social promotion. Meanwhile other students who have better grades and are more deserving aren't even accepted at Harvard, simply because they are white.

People need to realize where Obama came from and learn from this, so that we don't make the same mistakes again. Any black person today who is in a position of authority or power like Obama probably got there for one reason: affirmative action. They didn't work for it and earn it like you or I would have to.

If George W. Bush had been allowed to run for a third term, I think Bush would have defeated Obama in a landslide. Now there was a great man, Bush. People so quickly forget the past, but I like to think that George W. Bush was quite possibly the best president we have ever had (after Reagan, of course). And people in this country need to be reminded what a terrific president Bush was. What a legacy. His presidency was characterized by a flourishing economy, low unemployment numbers, strong on national security and tough on terrorists.

Bush was successful because he worked hard, sacrificed and made tough decisions. And that's what people will remember about him the most, that he was an honorable man.

Now look at what we have, the garbage in the white house. An affirmative action president! Somebody who didn't have to work for what he has, because everything Obama has was given to him based entirely on his skin color.

Obama is either too stupid to understand this or he just doesn't care... As long as we have his dumb-azz in the WH, no, nothing is going to get better for the USA...that's just cold reality. Will the next President do better? WHo knows. But, we know it won't under this grafter.

The reason Obama was elected was not only to the blind affirmative action vote, but mainly because Republicans refused to vote for Romney and sat on their azzes at home, along with the Libertarians. So, that's the real reason we are stuck with that bastard.

Good point! Let's discuss this in depth. The United States of America has been giving government assistance to a vast majority of people, for a very long time. Now, I honestly think the programs were made the best of intentions. But, there was somewhere since the beginning up to now that someone decided to use these programs against Americans and make them dependent on the assistance. See, the more jobs lost, the more crime, the more families that get broken up due to crimes, and the rising cost of living without a rise in wages brings more and more citizens to the governments cheese. So, now when we have this feeling of "we should take over America", we can't.

You also have to consider how many of these people that call themselves American that would actually fight for our country. Some will simply keep sticking their hands out for the "easy life". Others will not respect our land and liberties enough to want to revolt.

Those leading our government and surely those behind the scenes know every bit of this in detail. That is why when you actually get a set of leaders that have citizens best interest in mind, we all prosper.

That's a pretty accurate description of your generation. The entitlement generation, the Me generation, the Occupy generation.

You know, many people have drawn comparisons between the Tea Party movement and the Occupy movement, and on the outside it seems that both groups have things in common:

Both groups want to see a fundamental change in how things are run in this country, because both groups believe the system is broken.

Both groups want to see a flourishing middle class, and a resurgence of opportunities.

But that is where the similarities end.

The Tea Party is made up mostly of older, wiser, smarter Americans who spent years and years working hard and sacrificing in order to achieve success. They built their own businesses with their own hands, WITHOUT GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE OBAMA. And now those successful Americans are seeing everything they worked a lifetime for being destroyed by thieving Liberal scumbags like president darkie.

Now compare that to Occupy, which is composed entirely of a bunch of young punks with a degree fresh out of an inkjet printer down at the Community College. Why is it that when you are a young punk with a "degree", you automatically think you know better than people who have been working in that industry for 40 years? Simple, because Liberals run these colleges, and Liberals program young people into the entitlement mentality. You're special, you deserve. Society owes you one.

And this is exactly why the Tea Party is still here, but Occupy fizzled out. The Occupiers were just a bunch of self-centered, greedy teenagers who wanted to get out of college and go straight into a 100k per year job without having to work their way up to it. And a bunch of young, greedy, self-entitled college kids protesting on a corner, banging on bongo drums and holding up cardboard signs just doesn't resonate with MIDDLE CLASS, BLUE COLLAR MARRIED COUPLES WHO ARE TRYING TO RAISE THREE KIDS.

Which is why the Tea Party is growing in popularity everyday, because what the Tea Party stands for resonates with middle America. The Tea Party stands in defense of those of us who work for a living, those of us who are proud of our American heritage and our Christian values. The Tea Party is growing stronger by leaps and bounds, which is why Obama is so scared that he has the NSA and the IRS conducting illegal wiretaps at Tea Party offices.

Hope and change is not working. Everybody knows it.

America has become a joke around the world. No one respects us, no one fears us, no one stands beside us and most everyone hates us. We've become weak within our own country too. If a foreign power were to invade us and overrun our military tomorrow (like a China-Russia joint invasion), how many Americans would fight for their own survival, much less fighting for their country, family, friends and neighbors? Most would sit back and wait for the government to come to their rescue because, after all, they feed them, clothe them, house them, doctor them and the list goes on so shouldn't they depend on their protection? When the tanks rolled down the street, how many would fight like hell, even to the death, and how many would run up, surrender and say, "I give up, now, where's my free stuff?" We're pathetic.
The south and west would fight. The rest of the country would bend over and take it up the ass.

Do you actually think the West would fight? As in California? Most red states would fight and the blue states would be trying to see what they could get for nothing.

Lol! My thoughts exactly. For a good laugh just envision 99% of San Francisco residents parading around... LOL
