Who owns the property where the town just installed a new red light on the bypass. I have been told it was done for an official of the town's wife. True? If so they need to go. This light will make traffic bottle neck ten times worse on the bypass.. Is that what they want? I also hear they want a flea market on depot Street and want to serve beer!

Dry up and blow away! How many times are you going to post this? I'll agree that 2 lights were stupid, but that's as far as I go. The Kingsport HWY has needed a light for YEARS because it was a DEATH TRAP to pull out of, or turn on to! How'd ya like to be in the county and paying DOUBLE for water in an overly-built-up area that has NO water pressure to the point someone could urinate on ya harder than the shower, has pipes laid in the 50's, and NO sewer, but paying for city to have it??? Byotch about THAT ya canker sore!!

Both of these roads were very dangerous to try to cross. I have no issue with either of these lights. I agree with you that Kingsport Highway needed one. And if you have ever tried to turn left off Main Street you know that it was a nightmare.

P2BN, I think anyone who can't go under the bypass and up onto it via the 4 way flashing stop? Doesn't need a license, they need MapQuest.

It wouldn't make sense for me to go that way because I exit onto the baileyton highway. I'd have to get on 11E just hang a u turn so I could exit onto baileyton road. Seems like a hassle. I'd rather just turn left off Main Street and then take my first right.

I think main St should be ran over in front of 93 and turn that into a 4 way intersection so there wouldn't be two red light so close together!!!

They would just start that crap of raising wheel tax again, but really it would be property taxes. They never intended to raise wheel tax, just a ploy to screw us property owners over again.

It's not always RED, sometimes it's GREEN or yellow. That's why it's called a TRAFFIC light! I think it's a good idea, we'll get used to it and wonder why they didn't do it years ago.

Much like the needed changes they are doing to improve the Rheatown Road and 11-E bypass area, it is a long time coming. Many of us have driven these roads for years with no problems but now you have to add in the factor of quite a few more younger, inexperienced drivers, people who have been caught up in the drug. world out there and also others that have no patience. Myself, I will gladly sit at a red light or be disrupted in a daily commute in order to avoid an unneeded accident.

It's my understanding that they only succeeded in PASSING a wheel tax in this town by getting people to vote it in on the reasoning that a new jail needed to be built. It passed, jail was built, and now? They funnel the wheel tax money elsewhere, and that jail is now too small and failing state inspections! Hell, local government is like a teenager with a new credit card. If they have money to spend, whether real or credit, they WHAT?!? Spend it. Not always wisely. So they come up with a nifty new tax to get themselves MORE money to misappropriate. Tax on AIR coming soon! Cannot wait to see that big goofy leg lamp from "A Christmas Story" decorating the front window at the courthouse! Or maybe they'll buy moving walkways for downtown. Idiots the lot.

You really are too funny! Unless you live in one of the broke down manors right there at the merge onto the bypass? You could indeed take the 4 way stop as that other poster mentioned. You don't need mapquest, you need a chauffeur! Lmao@ Pretend BTW, If Mary Feldman and Bette Davis had a baby? WHAT would the poor dear look like?!? Tee hee hee

My post was completely tongue in cheek. I enjoy making myself look like an idiot. It's surprisingly easy. To your second point, I would have to say that we already have many examples of a Feldman/Davis offspring. Simply look at any Japanese cartoons depiction of an American. We are apparently known for the size of our eyes over there.

I know. I was just having you on! Amen to the anime. I think they do that on purpose because of all the slant-eyed cracks. The eyes always seem blue as well? That Sailor Moon is one freaky looking hobag!
