Consider body donation to a medical school. You’ll be helping train the next generation of doctors who will be taking care of you, and depending on where you live, the cost could be minimal (transportation) to free. Most medical schools will return the cremated remains in one to two years after study if you request this beforehand.

They keep the cadaver's face covered. We had some disrespectful turds playing with the corpse when I took HAP at Walters State and Jeff Horner almost expelled them. There is the utmost respect for body doners by the Professors. That's why I'm gonna donate. And I want the students to see my tremendous shlong. I hope it gets rigor mortis and stays hard. That's when my ex said I'll get my next hard-on.

I couldn't have donated my ex-wife's body to science. It would have had to been to science fiction. Where else could they have the opportunity to study "The Blob"?

I plan to donate my body. Although I'm sure my brain will be the most interesting part. "Professor, why does it smell like provolone and hydrocodone?"

Another option is whole body donation for medical research, education and training through Science Care. By donating you are helping to improve and advance medicine for all of us. The program is no cost to the family and includes transportation from the location of passing, filing of the death certificate, cremation and the return of cremated remains. To learn more visit www.ScienceCare.com or call 800.417.3747 toll free 24 hours a day.

Summary below:
Many people meet criteria for donation, including people with cancer, heart disease, arthritis, and diabetes. Please note that while we strive to facilitate every donation, a criteria match is conditional upon medical and suitability criteria at the time of passing (unless that person is under hospice care), in order to honor the intent of donation and safely serve the needs of the medical community. Exclusions may include contagious diseases, extreme obesity, and extensive orthopedic surgeries. Our goal is to meet the specific needs of the medical community that require human tissue to do their important work. Therefore criteria changes and that is why we must review the medical social history at the time of passing.

When we receive the call at the time of passing the Donation Services Coordinator will go over a medical and social history with the best medical historian (usually a family member). That information combined with the knowledge of what tissue types the researchers/educators need will lead us to our determination of if we can proceed with donation. If we are able to proceed we will gather demographic information and consent from the next of kin. This call is about 20-30 minutes in length.

Pre-registration is available to those in AZ, CA, CO, FL, TX. However, Science Care is a nationwide program and pre-registration is not necessary. We always recommend that you talk with your family about your wish to donate to Science Care and also about your alternate preferences should donation not be possible. This can be as simple as designating if you prefer cremation or burial.

Note: We do have the HOPE Program: A Guarantee for Hospice Patients. This is a pre-screening for those under hospice care and allows the family to know in advance if we are able to proceed with donation. It also makes the call to Science Care at the time of passing much shorter.

Please connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or sign up to receive our newsletter (bottom right of our webpage).
