The weekenders(go in one night a week to serve their sentence)bring in the most contraband. They're like a general market! They make a killing off the other inmates. They go in and ask everybody what they want them to bring the next weekend. The inmate's girlfriend/boyfriend/sugar daddy or relatives will pay the weekender and by the next weekend, they get all that they asked for! I hear $50 for a pack of Bugler! The weekenders love serving their time once a week because its great money for them! No matter how hard the guards search, some things just can't be found.

If those that are found with tobacco, lighters, drugs, alcohol or punished to the maximum, it would cut back on people trying to bring contraband into the jail. Same goes for anyone failing a drug test while incarcerated. If all they get is a write up or a few days in the hole, well then, of course they're going to keep sneaking contraband in. It's big money. You have to make it not worth it to them. Make them an example for others that are thinking about sneaking in contraband. It's a shame we don't have a larger jail so the weekenders and work release inmates could have their own pod, separate from the others.
