NEW ORLEANS — Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin was indicted Friday on charges that he used his office for personal gain, accepting payoffs, free trips and gratuities from contractors while the city was struggling to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

The charges against Nagin are the outgrowth of a City Hall corruption investigation that already has resulted in guilty pleas by two former city officials and two businessmen and a prison sentence for a former city vendor.

In 2013 do you plan to also detail Republicans going down in flames for similar reasons?

No, I doubt it. That is for people like you to point out. The good news is that if the past is any indication, you won't be nearly as busy as he will be.

It should prove to be an interesting political year.

I know Ray Nagin is not guilty since he is a member of the modern Democratic Party, in other words that mafia of demagogues, charlatans, and politically correct jokers, and whose highest ranking leaders pretend they are great liberals, wonderful humanitarians, and defenders and protectors of the poor, the disenfranchised, and the ordinary working people.

So therefore there is no way on earth a member of such a wonderful group would ever be involved in anything sleazy, illegal, or in being a parasite or ripoff artist.

Of course he will. As you know his Fox friends live and die by the motto that their news is "Fair and Balanced". How could anyone expect less of a devout Fox enthusiast?

Stretching to make a point are we? Jenrette was convicted of accepting bribes in 1980! Want to bring up a few convictions from the 19th century? WE get it!
