I worked there for 1 1/2 years nad it didn't work out. The uneducated @ss kissers move up and if you save the company money with your training and experience someone tries to get you because your making somebody look bad. The pay is not bad. Ron Seay ( was production Manager) is a jerk-off that doesn't care about anything but keeping his job secure. Everrett Haney ( Some type of Engineer ) is a good one, but I'm not sure he's still there. Clay is also a great engineer that does his job. The company says they want one thing but actually wanrt you to come to work, take their sh!t, and keep your mouth shut! I personally saved the company about $60k a year and was treated like I stole the secret recipe. That was 2007. I ran into a guy I know from a different plant thats a lot better than Donaldson, I know because I worked at both. I know they were in a 45K a year position position and left to go to Donaldson. He swears a chage has happened but I don't know how much of one.

DOn't know much about it, heard Hiney/haney was Operation manager or something like that now,and there always going on about LEAN, If America had a clue LEAN is killing america factorys, studies shows less than 10% of american factorys benefit from it, the rest suffure,

I worked there when it was air maze. I'm sure it has changed a bunch..was there over ten years. They always gave the ass kissers the upgrade jobs. It did not matter much about their ability..just the ability to kiss ass.

First of all, LEAN is not killing factories. You obviously don't know or understand the concept of Lean Manufacturing. Lean is a production system of improvements and changes generated not only from engineering but also from the people on the floor that is designed to cut cost, maximize production, reduce waste, and make a steady stabile work environment for employees. Lean saves money and creates jobs while capitalizing on the employees abilities and staying on top of the market. The sloppy wasteful way of running a plant that has been going on since The Industrial Revolution is what has killed American manufacturing. But just to be blunt about it, Donaldson doesn't know the first thing about Lean Manufacturing.

Lean is a complicated and delicate thing to master in a factory. I attended a Lean,6Sig conference a couple years ago. The stats show from there data over 5yrs, that only 2% of american companies benefit from Lean in American. With culture, older work forces, companies wanting 8 hr standars and not allowing proper time to sustain Lean, it will continue to hurt us more than we benefit from it, In my opionion it was invented by Chinesee toget more of our jobs.?WOnder % of factories that lean has killed or caused to move to china.

The majority of Lean Manufacturing systems are deveoled from the Toyota Production System. Toyota is the #1 auto manufacturer in the world. I would like to see the reports mentioned showing the lean system isn't working. I mean, it's working for DTR and JDPP. You can argue that DTR is Japanese owned but it doesn't make a difference when 95% of employees are American. It's all in the mentality from top to bottom including management. My guess is that where these American companies are failing at lean is in the training and implementation of the system. If you don't do it right you will not succeed. It doesn't show a difference overnight, but given time and proper training lean does work. I have a degree in manufacturing and I've seen the evidence of success. Honestly, I think if companies are failing with lean then they are not implementing it correctly.
