Mike Huckabee for President in 2016!
In 2008, said Huckabee, Obama stated that his Christian faith kept him from wholeheartedly endorsing same-sex marriage. Then in 2012, he reversed that decision, which Huckabee sees as a desertion of Obama’s “Christian principles.”
“Does he have them or does he not?” the pastor-turned-Fox-News-host demanded to know.
Huckabee drew fire earlier this week for a speech he made in Iowa in which he said that his opposition to marriage equality is Biblically-based, and therefore not based in hate.
“I’m not a hater, I’m not a homophobe,” he claimed.“I honestly don’t care what people do personally in their individual lives.”
“When people say,‘Why don’t you just kind of get on the right side of history?’ I say,‘You’ve got to understand, this for me is not about the right side or the wrong side of history, this is the right side of the Bible,’” he said.
You're electing a President, not a preacher or a religious leader, remember.

Absolutely!! We should force everyone in America to believe in the Bible like it or not! Oh..wait..that's what the taliban believes. Agree to allah and the Koran or we will chop your head off. America has always had believers and nonbelievers..so what? Most Americans want freedom FROM religion, that is what this country was founded on..we are a secular nation.
Thank you, Montrose, you sound very educated and are a delightful breath of fresh air. And yes I do recall that answer on a history test in college - the main reason immigrants came to the new world - freedom from religion. You get an A!

President John Adams and the U.S. Senate in 1797:
Treaty with Tripoli, had this on a test as well. Not founded in any sense on the Christian religion.

Facts are facts and Quoter's got them. You would think people would be happy with all the freedom they have in this country to openly practice their religion. A small vacation in a country with no freedom of religion would make them appreciate this country and all our freedoms real quick.

Ok now I'm getting nervous. You're making that up perhaps? I mean you haven't made anything up so far I was just hoping this might be a joke. I might fact check it but I'm afraid to.

I see someone is not too familiar with American history.
America is a Christian nation, it always has been. This great country was founded by Christians to get away from people just like you, SURPRISE!
There is hope for you, though. If you don't like Americans or American values then you are always free to leave at any time!!
Conscientious Christians are the ones who fought and sacrificed their blood to secure the freedom you inheritied by being born in America. That is the only reason you have any freedom at all. And their efforts paid off, because now slackers like you collect welfare and run your jabber jaw on the internet.
You have the freedom to pray or not to, doesn't really matter to me anyhow dummy. If you are so eager to rebuke God's precious gift and burn in hell with the homosexuals then that is your choice. However, just because you don't want to pray, that doesn't mean that the rest of us moral, good people in this country have to suffer by not being allowed to pray.
It seriously is time for all Christians in America to wake up and strike back against people like you, because you are the ones who are the enemies of America: Liberals are the enemy who are ruining this great country. Liberals are the ones fighting to have child molesting homosexuals in the Boy Scouts while at the same time making sure Christianity is illegal.
Americans are beginning to wake up and realize that Liberals are the reason America has gone down the toilet. Which is exactly why this regime has IRS and FCC agents infiltrating and reporting on peaceful churches and Tea Party meetings. Because this administration knows that Americans have had enough of this regime's lies, and the whole lid is about to blow off the top of the kettle.
And I agree with Phil, Mike Huckabee would make a terrific president. Because, unlike that POS subhuman mongrel liar we have right now, Mike Huckabee is a christian, a proven leader with actual executive experience, and he isn't afraid to stick his neck out numerous times and speak the truth. Because Huckabee has guts to tell people what they don't want to hear.
Remember the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary? The bodies weren't even cold yet and Liberals were already busy politicizing dead children in order to make guns illegal. Remember when Obama paraded the Sandy Hook victims in front of Congress? Disgusting, absolutely no shame.
Mike Huckabee was one of the first to point out, "We ask why there's violence in our school but we've systematically removed God from our schools. Should we be so surprised"?
And of laws like gun control, Huckabee further says we can write all the laws we want to but laws do absolutely nothing to stop crime; in fact, "We don't have a crime problem, or a gun problem, or even a violence problem," Huckabee said on his popular Fox News program. "What we have [school shootings] is a sin problem. And since we've ordered God out of our schools and communities... we really shouldn't act so surprised when all hell breaks loose".
I agree totally with Huckabee. If Liberals hadn't removed God from the schools, Sandy Hook would never have happened. Liberals embrace homomsexuals and rebuke God, then we all lose God's providence. Our country has lost God's providence.
Time for Christians to wake up and take over the country before it is too late.
Martha! Read a book! Not the one you usually read, I mean a different one. Yes I really don't want to be mean but you can tell that you are very uneducated, but you don't have to be, that's the beauty of it. Take a class for crying out loud

Freedom from religion simply means freedom to burn in Hell for eternity, young lady. You should educate yourself to what that will mean.

Will you still be proud that you supported your gay friends when you find out that it meant you will spend eternity in agony and never ever have any hope of changing that?

Bush did a better job of putting blacks to work in good paying jobs. Because Republicans believe in self-sufficiency and independence. Obama and democrats are more concenerend with victimization and getting people dependent on foodstamps.
And? So what? Huck wouldn't get 5% of the black vote. He wouldn't carry NY, CA, NJ, CT, Mass, IL, Pa, Ohio, Maryland, Michigan.....You can't win if you don't carry some of these states. No southern Christian conservative stands any chance of winning a national election. Those days are long gone.

You're 100% correct, but I still think Bush was a complete failure as it comes to true constitutional conservatism.
