A Greeneville man has been arrested following the shooting death of 51-year-old Danny Lee Lamons on Friday.
54-year-old Richard Alan Murray of Holiday Lane has been arrested on second-degree murder charges.
Deputies from the Greene County Sheriff's Department were called to Lamons' Holiday Lane residence around 9:00 Friday night and discovered him sitting semi-upright at the front door with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Lamons was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center, but later died from his injuries.
Murray is being held on $250,000 bond. He is due in court on Monday.

Does anyone know either one of these men? And know why it happened?

Are they ever going to tell why he shot him?

Danny Lamons threatened Richard Murray in his own house. ANd he had every right to defend himself. Alcohol was involved so it makes it harder but if someone refuses to leave your house and threatens you, you have every right to defend yourself and your family...
