Yesterday I cut across W Irish Str to beat the train on the truck route and as I passed Greeneville Iron works I saw some graphitti on their building that said something about the "bloods".So should this be a sign that we are headed for a gang problem or just somebody tryin to be funny??? I had heard(not from anybody important though)that the Mexican Mafia had already moved into Morristown.

I've heard UNofficially that there is already gang activity in Greeneville in the drug trades. I read on another post about 55 Mexicans were leaving on a bus for the Florida pain clinics. Is there a connection to the Mexican Mafia? Wow, I hope not.

The story I heard was that about a month ago NIS was in Morristown to pick up some Illegals that were known to have ties to the MM.NOW ONCE AGAIN this is 2nd or 3rd hand info and it might not be the truth at all.I hope it does'nt happen but it would'nt surprise me either.

Gangs in Greeneville? THAT dog don't hunt! If that happens, then all they need to hear from us 'polite citizens' is "click, click, BOOM!"!!

I really don't think "us polite citizens" (and I include myself) know all that is going on locally. We have so many migrant workers now, what an easy way to get in the community. The school system officials have been attending meetings for several years now, on how to deal with such situations if they arise. And you are right, behind most doors in Greeneville, lives several loaded guns. I don't feel we are a match for this gang thing. I hope it never happens.

I think they should open up a season on these punks they should not be arrested they should be shot on sight, think that would take care of most the gang problems all over, they dont deserve a day in court. Cause they sure would shoot you and then go eat dinner, with out thinking about it,,

Idiot children with nothing better to do in the trailer park. As far as gang association in Greeneville, there may be some pretenders that have seen a few too many documentaries, but as far as real bloods, crips, mexican mafia..etc. No. There are none. Period.

Sorry you took it that way. It was not meant to be sarcastic. I actually did read that post on another thread. I was just hopeing one had nothing to do with the other. I have the utmost respect for honest hardworking Mexican people but NOT for the Mexican drug Mafia. Please accept my apologies.

Please don't get too comfortable with your opinion. There is gang activity in Greeneville. Most of us haven't seen it, firsthand, and I hope we don't.

What would gangs have to gain in Greeneville? The economy is in the toilet here. There's nothing for anybody to steal or control. Unless they want to try to corner the market on check- cashing and payday advance stores.
Maybe these "Greeneville Bloods" are going to hit Walmart--make off with some diapers and malt liquor--maybe pick up a box fan (it's getting hotter).
Or, maybe the "Bloods" are really some "Parks and Rec/City Charter/traffic-light camera" gang that was formed to blow the lid off of "corruption" at city hall.
My guess is that the tagging you saw near Irish St. is a prank. There's been a lot of that lately.
It's kind of sad really...

Drugs, straight and simple. Lots of money involved, if you (a gang)
have all the control. You have been gone too long, lots of things have changed since you lived here before, Kinsey-six.
