I ate there a couple months ago and was less than impressed. No flavor to the Alfredo. Fried mushroom tasted like I was sucking on a garlic clove. Calamari was horrible. Will not be back.

I ate there yesterday with some friends, the food was alright but the service was HORRIBLE!! took them forever before they even asked what we wanted to drink then we had to wait another 10 minutes on the drinks, finally we got to order and the wait for food was horrible, the waitress came to the table twice and that was it. twice would be ok if our drinks werent all empty at different times. the workers were walking around yelling at one another across the room(not cursing just talking like but very loudly and over peoples heads) one lady got up to get her own drink refill and asked the lady(that worked there) next to the drinks which one was sweet tea and the worker just kind of looked at her and turned around and yelled across to another worker and asked her then she told the customer and walked off. 1. the customer should never have to get their own drinks 2. why would you not know which drink is which when you work there 3. why yell across the room? 98% of the workers there looked messed up and on drugs, their appearance was very poor for what type of restaurant it is and they were very unprofessional....
the food was great and the place looked nice and i was prepared to leave a tip when i entered the door, i've always tipped since i was a teen but once i seen how the service was going i decided she dang sure didnt deserve a tip

I'm not hard to please. I expect cleanliness & good food. If they are busy then I will certainly be the most patient customer. When I was there, my friend and I had to wait FOREVER for drinks then FOREVER for order & surprise but FOREVER for our food which was barely warm. It taste ok but rather time consuming for lunch. I think there were maybe three other tables with customers so they weren't that busy. I probably won't go back unless I'm with someone who insists. Lol

I agree, the food is bad. The salads are made from iceberg lettuce and most of the salad is the white core, not to mention small portions. How about a mixed greens salad? The pizza is about the best bet, because every pasta dish is horrible. I like Tony, but the horrible food falls on his shoulders. Seems it is time to find a real chef. I also agree that the service is lacking, although it has improved from what it was the first month or so they were open.

The wait staff was good today. I had no complaints about our waiter. That was the only positive thing I could say about the place and like Nita, I'm really not hard to please. Anytime I don't have to cook and can go out and eat somewhere, I'm usually pretty happy. Italian is my favorite food.... How can you screw up Italian cooking? It boggles the mind. And, throwing me last nights tired assed salad was a big no no for me.. That pissed me off. And, you go in early- you are one of the first customers and the floors are filthy? I was so disgusted. And, this may be TMI, but when we got home, my husband and I both had to spend a lot of unplanned bathroom time. I thought WTF? WTF?

Food and service was horrible. Pizza and philly cheese steak sandwhich with hardly any cheese. I mean it was insane. We were in shock. The waiter was very rude and left in middle of our meal and waitress was even worse THAT took over. But the check was the biggest shock of all.....outrageous.

I went to Italian Village with my daughter who is a vegetarian. There were only three other tables of customers, yet it took a long time for our waiter to assist us. I ordered spaghetti and she ordered a vegetarian Calazone. We then waited another long period of time before the food came. My daughter's vegetarian Calazone had pepperoni in it, so it had to be remade. Therefore we had to wait another 20 minutes for her food to come while my got cold on the table. During this time, the guy that was waiting on another table got angry because his customers only left him a dollar bill for each meal. The waiter was holding the bills in his hand and swinging his arms in the air because he was so angry! It was a quite a sight! My food was terrible and cold and my daughter said that her food was not good either and was very much lacking in cheese. Because of the expensive prices, slowness of the wait staff, sub par food and the rude behavior of the waiters, I will never be back.

But the owners will go bat sh!t crazy if Greeneville tries to bring any kind of good restaurant in. This is one reason we have been going to Morristown and Newport (yes Newport) to dine and shop. We live on the lower end of the county and everything is moving up towards JC anyhow. Can't wait to get my job in Knoxville and move somewhere nice.

Just when It starts to cross my mind that maybe I want to move back to greeneville, I read stuff like this. I think I'll just stay in Knoxville! As far as pizza goes, Greg's pizza in Johnson city and Big Ed's in oak ridge are the best around!!

Nothing McGill owns will ever be blessed with my presence... I had tolerated all of him I could when he looked me dead in my eyes and told me "you're just an over bearing parent who cannot accept that your child will be 'slow' the rest of his life." He was a less than decent pediatrician and I will not give him half a chance to make another dime off of me or my "slow" children....

Sadly, I hit post and I lost all I had typed. Guess you'll get the short and much nicer version since it's past my bed time.
I wish I was lying. If being a mother to 2 special needs children makes me lame, yes I am. I could show you two- 2" binders full of my Child's medical records from him in the first 2 1/2 years of my Child's life... My parents begged me to change drs and I fought to stay at his office... Once that was said to me, I still stayed. I was a first time mother and had not yet grown my mommy backbone. Other things happened, and other things were said that no one wants to believe... And you would say I'm lying again... And we found a new dr. I worked in the medical field. Things like this should be said, but there are times when it just gets said. I'm sure he regrets his words, and I know that I regret not taking further action... But my child is better taken care of now so all I can do is hope this town wakes up and does a little research into his license and his professional behavior...
Now, for my opinion, based solely on his actions I have witnessed first hand (of myself and others)... He needs to pick a profession. Dr or food service. One doesn't pay as good as the other but as I hear, what he's charging for food may stimulate the growth of his pocket.... And deplete yours...(maybe that's why he can afford free health care?)
I'll stick to my guns and you can die by yours. I'd much rather pay and know my child is relatively safe at the hands of his drs now....
Oh, and thank you for the simple attack. I never knew people could be so immensely devoted to a dr, who could give a flip less if a child is laying in the hospital with life threatening illness while he runs his restaurant and conveniently "forgets to check in"...(this couple also found a new dr... Almost at the expense of their Child's life)...
Have a nice night.

He may be different now than he was ten years ago, but I'm not the only one who has had serious issues with him. My issues with him were enough to put me in my "crazy boat" and let me paddle far away from him. I am far from an idiot
and I have NO PAST DUE BILLS. Thank you for assuming, although that leaves much to be said about you. It is funny how, out of ALL these opinions, you choose mine to bitch about... Move on. My story hasn't changed in ten years, and your slight idioms about my intellectuality are not going to send me back to my "hole".... Maybe I'll lay dormant under my rock... But to scamper off into a hole... Nah... That's where rock bottom is, I've no need to be there.

All I can say abt Dr Mcgill is awesome.... the first time I met him I had taken my child to the er, long story short, she had been hospitalized for 2 days and none of the drs that saw her could figure out what was wrong. On the 3rd day after many test ( one being a lengthy ultrasound of her stomach ) Dr Mcgill walked in our room as he was the pediatrician on call that day and he examined my child and the records and he noticed the curling of her toes when he touched her stomach area. When he noticed this he left the room and said he would be right back and within mins he had my child on the way to the children's hospital to do immediate surgery. He was very quick and very accurate I wish id met him on day one. 3 years later I gave birth to a beautiful lil blessing from god and in walked Dr Mcgill as the attending pediatrician and I was so pleased to see him and asked if he was accepting new patients at the time he told me no they weren't and I basically reminded him of the encounter with my other child and very quickly he recalled the event and even remembered the childs name and gladly took on the role of being our new childs Dr. We have been seeing Dr Mcgill at both offices for over a year and I have never seen any bad business going on. He and his nurses are truly amazing and you can tell he loves his profession. I also never knew he had any ownership of Italian Village, which happens to be my favorite pizza in greeneville. I guess we do learn something new each day even if it is from topix.
