After reading the other earlier "reports" about Italian Village I was afraid to go here even after being a repeat customer at the older site. WELL FOLKS - those earlier reports of BAD FOOD, etc are just Bull. I had the best calzone I've ever had - the wait staff was quick and efficient - and the beer was nice and cold ! Don't listen to the other reports... go here and EXPECT THE BEST in Greeneville.

Expect the best? I can't see much difference from when they were in their past location, outside of the fact that the building is nicer. As I listed in a previous post, they need to focus on quality of ingredients and not skimping on ingredients and portions!

Waited for over 30 minutes for a salad and two kids meals. I was disappointed. Ordered dessert. Waited almost 15 minutes before they brought it out to the table. Terrible service. It looked like no one knew what was going on. I won't be back. Why can't Greeneville get it together when it comes to running a restaurant?

If you really want to know how good a place is wait a few months then decide. New staff takes a while to get in the groove. Some of these people may have never waited tables before. Lets just be glad there's another place to eat in Greeneville and a few more jobs to be had.

If you're in a hurry with a couple of kids continue to eat at the McDonald's drive thru. That's all Greeneville likes, it seems by all this whinning. Bad
service? It's because restaurant owners have to hire losers from Greeneville as their waitstaff.

I think that it is humorous that the people of Greeneville think that they are food critics. Hahahaha all they eat is at slop houses and fast food. Then when something a little different comes around they act like they have a Doctorate in good service and good food. It is laughable.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. You don't have to be a food critic to know how you feel about service. I have eaten in some of the finest restaurants on the US East Coast and Greeneville is in comparison the pits, but unless you plan to travel to NY to get a meal you might as well know what is available locally. I am glad to hear the opinions of local people. I, for one, have given up going out altogether and would be happy to hear a good review for a restaurant I might try.

.If you have to wait on food to come out of the kitchen, you do not blame it on the wait staff. They cannot serve it if it is not ready.

We went fri night. 15min wait, and go. I had the dr.beckners special wife had lobster ravioli (too small a portion) daughter had tater soup and chicken salad sandwitch son had a slice of pizza. Grand total with $10.00 tip.$64.44. The waitresses were running their assess off. Very hard working girls. My wife wasn't happy with her small order, and said the sauce tasted canned. The kids liked theirs, and I liked mine. They had soft drinks and tea. The taps were out of order so me & wife had to drink bottled beer. I was disappointed that the menu was lacking from what it was from when joe ran it. I really wanted clams in white sauce over linguini.Wife wasn't happy with the price. Over all I give it an B+ and considering NOT having to drive to J.C.raises it to an A.

I always loved Italian village when joe and his wife ran it and still enjoy it, though not as much. One thing that is still great is that tony is still there and making the pizza. I'll keep going, but I'd give anything for the boss to come back.

i totally agree w/u! u have to give an establishment time to work out the problems , the new space and most of all training staff. sure the later waitstaff new things but only 3 or 4 girls came from the old restaurant the rest were new. from the day they opened when i was there or drove by it seemeed packed. im a long time fan but my question is how is it bringing new jobs when Mr & Mrs MCGILL keep firing everyone. everytime i go in & ask about someone its ohhhhhh they are no longer with us. if u want the town of g'villle to give you a chance & look over the mistakes ur making while opening this establishment shoulnt you give the same respect to ur staff:"help them, tell them what they do wrong, before you let them go! ill be seeeing you @ lunch 2day....cant get enough calazone!!!

Unless they do something FAST,the restaurant will not last. The pizza is not as good as it was.My pasta was not cooked enough, not even al dente.AND I hate it for them.Nice people. The public will not support unless the food is good. That is just how it is.

I love their pizza. Wish they had more selection and more fresh ingredients. I miss their spicy red clam sauce and the piccata sauce. Over all I love going there!
