I don't know any of those people arrested. I wonder how many of them were actually born and raised in Greeneville and how many are from other states or towns?

Wow.. intelligent. Not only is it stupid to post what you did. It is completely moronic to use the federal mail system to obtain WEED! Sounds smart, risk going to prison on federal charges for something that is worth at best a few hundred dollars. You sir are Mr.Slick.
Copper is stupid, police check this crap ALL the time, not only that they can get access to the ip and location thru the site without a warrant. He might as well of went to the police station and just turned himself in.

1 The police don't waste their time on all the crap posted on here.
2 They have to get the ip from topix, then they would have to go to Comcast or whoever your service provider is to get your address and yes they would have to have a warrant.
3 Cooper is just bs'ing. Don't be so gullable.

Obtaining an IP address would have nothing to do with your ISP. Topix states that it has no issue handing that information over to law enforcement (because they are the ones that have a record of what IP posted what). Read up, "don't be so GULLIBLE." Even if this idiot was spouting off just to say something, it isn't exactly smart to give law dog a reason to go sniffing around.

I hate to be like this, but this is a bit much. I understand the strain that a jobless addict can put on communities. I also understand that human beings have faults and issues that they sometimes deal with by using drugs, prescribed or not. I have a hard time seeing many around here who do not personally know a friend or family member (including your own children) who do not have a substance abuse problem. Just because your alchohol or xanax is legal, doesn't mean you are free to condemn others using different drugs to get by. These are the senseless and hateful comments that only a true idiot could think up. Oh what a sight it would be for prohibition to come back into play and then see how many of you hateful bastards end up in the clink and rehab. ;)

I just told "Fed Up" pretty much the same thing on another thread. We need more compassion for people with this problem. I know too many caught up in addiction. It's heartbreaking. They may not be doing right and may need to go to jail but they are human and make mistakes...we all do. God finds us all worthy of His Grace and with Him all things are possible. With God, prayer and help from loved ones these people can turn their life around.

You think that some of us that post "hateful" remarks don't have friends or people in our family who are drunks/addicts, etc.? These people are a blight on society period..worthless to the community, their families, their kids, their neighbors. It's your opinion if you feel otherwise and think people should feel sorry for them. I don't. They made a conscious choice on how they wanted to live their lives when they took the first pill.. prescription or otherwise. They suck.

It is quite the opposite. I think you all that post hateful things are either blind to their own issues (YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AS WELL AS YOURSELF), or you simply want to portray some kind of ignorant stance on drugs and substance abuse. Your family and friends will never overcome this problem and become productive members of society without societies help. Simply locking someone up does not help. I know there are many situations that, as a family member or friend, you become powerless. Some people just do not want help and that is the drugs speaking for them. It is more than likely a problem that has been building since adolescence and was ignored. You also need to consider that there is a good chance someone who is self-medicating may actually need to. I am not by any means saying that someone should be melting down pain pills and injecting them. But, some people need to be medicated and haven't had the opportunity due to financial issues and the high cost of healthcare.

You (as a community) can shrug this off and place blame only on the addict. Personally, I see it on a much greater scale. As a youth, if you are never given the tools to succeed, you won't. Not without a few bumps in the road that is. If you want to place blame on anyone, put it on the parents. I know this may ruffle feathers, but 9 times out of 10 there is something more you (as a parent) could have done better. Parenting will not be perfect and neither will your child. But as a responsible adult, you should own these mistakes and issues instead of just writing it off as another junky. Think to yourself, how much fun can it be to live day to day hurting the ones who care about you to the point that you are all alone. It isn't fun and it isn't a lifestyle to be envied. Have fun with the hate. I will continue to show compassion for those I care for. Whether that be putting a friend up for a night and feeding them or calling the cops when a family member has gone too far. Compassion comes in many different colors.

Well by now the news of Dr. Locklear's arrest is old news. It's not too hard to figure out which choice he made. Well I've been there done that. I chose #2 because I didn't want to have to look over my shoulder the rest of my life and I needed to come back here to help my aging parents.
