Dont let the door hit you wrote:
<quoted text>How about his pronunciation of corpsman? He pronounced it CORPSEman instead of COREman, and several times. Google Obama saying corpsman. God forbid if that had been Sarah Palin or Dan Quayle. We would have never heard the end of how stupid they were. What did the media have to say? Silence.
Again, keeping in mind my political leanings, I would include Palin and Quayle among the political lightweights. Both you and jimbo102 make excellent points. The difference, as I see it, is that Rubio did his thing live on national television with left-leaning media coverage. Unfair, certainly. Is Rubio stuck with it? For the time being, yes. Here spammer, spammer!

I had to laugh too when he said he had been to 57 states and only had one more to go to visit them all. Haha. So funny!! Then he made the comment about the "corpsemen". Does he think we are being invaded by Zombies or what? These are comment that are made pretty frequent by Biden, so maybe he is rubbing off on Obama.

Re: Dr Ben Carson. Up to this point everything political in Wikipedia a platitude. His National Prayer Breakfast speech on health care, taxation, and the national debt stated nothing new. Agree fully with his remark about politicians acting like 3rd graders. Impressive professional credentials, but has possible health issues. Old to be starting a political career at the bottom. Has never been elected to a political office. Seventh-day adventist faith could be an election problem. Until recently I only knew of him through his surgical skills with cojoined twin separation in 80's. Finally, what party would he join, how far could he go, and what influence could he have? Again, time will tell. Come on spammer!

I really don't think he would run for any office, but just saying he has some really good ideas. He knows what it's like to start from rock bottom and work your way up. I just like listening to him. Makes a lot of good points, specifically when he said "the President works for us." He should listen to the people. Oh and Obama is on another vacation, golfing. Maybe he would have been a better pro golfer than President. He gets more practice at golfing.

With all due respect, his predecessor took 1020 vacation days over 8 years. Almost 3 years' time. Number 1 vacationing POTUS in U.S. HISTORY. At one point Bush II took off 5 weeks straight! He also apparently despised the White House and was off to Camp David every weekend that he could manage. I fail to see Obama's downtime as POTUS an issue after the reign of 'W.' Waiting on my spammer.

Touche' "Kohlrabi". To be very honest, I have never been very interested in politics until the past few years, so I am not up on all the statistics that you are. As a matter of fact, I'm ashamed to say, that for several years I didn't vote because I was so disgusted with our government. There was just nobody running I wanted to vote for. Then one day someone said "if there is no one you want to vote for, is there someone you want to vote against." So I voted. I'm not very knowledgeable on politics but I find it interesting and we need to stand up for what we believe.

I spent nearly 30 years working in and around Washington, D.C. The ins and outs of national politics were made very apparent to me during that time. Educational. Politics IS interesting. Glad to hear you vote. For either side as long as you believe that's the side you agree with. Here spammer. Come and judge.
