You know I have such a hate for the Police, which is a bad thing because they're supposed to be people you look up to. People that are there when you need help "Protect and Serve".

This stems from 20 years of tickets for speeding, cruising, tinted windows, loud stereo, headlight/taillight covers and the list goes on and on.

No tickets or arrest for drugs, theft, murder, you know real crimes.

I see our police as nothing but a money mafia, they don't mess with real criminals because there's no money in it. Really I guess it's not even the officers fault, I guess it's the Mayor and Chief's fault. And if your house gets robbed, they write a report and pretty much say that's the last you'll hear about it.

Also I think stopping kids from fixing their cars up and made the next generation almost retards. Most of these kids nowadays can't change a tire or battery. Fixing cars up gave kids something to do, had pride in having the coolest car, now I guess it's pride in the strongest pill you can get. The leaders have destroyed this town. Just my opinion.

If I'm not mistaken all the things you listed above are "against the law." That is what the police are there for, if they see you "break the law" then you get a ticket for it. Too many people nowadays don't think the rules apply to them. You only hate them because you got caught.

owadays don't think the rules apply to them. You only hate them because you got caught.
Except speeding, none of these things were against the law until people started doing it to there cars and then they made them illegal. Ofcourse they waited until a lot of kids did it to their cars, so they could rack up the money.

I don't really hate the officers, just the system behind them. Hell most of the cops nowadays were cruising right there with. :)

But most of the things you listed only became popular in the past 10 or 12 years. If I were a cop I wouldn't want to walk up to a car with windows so dark you couldn't see inside to see who you are dealing with. They cracked down on cruising because of fights and drug deals. The loud thumping music is just so annoying it should be outlawed. I think my son got caught for all of these at one time or another and he paid his fine and went on. Rules are rules. Everybody gotta obey or pay the price.

How many 16 year old kids, cruising town pulled guns on cops. It was Greeneville, not Compton!

"They cracked down on cruising because of fights and drug deals." Seriously?? That really worked out for them, didn't it?

"The loud thumping music is just so annoying it should be outlawed." Maybe to you it was, but not to a lot. That's another one of Greeneville's problem, you want people to be just like you. Sorry people are different, I can't like something because you do. I'm not you.

And if you all remember, the majority of Greenville/Greene county parents & kids didn't want cruising stopped. Just a few old people with money. I guess what the majority wants doesn't matter in Greeneville, kinda like the property tax.

hey 2 cold how about 1 on byepass getting speeders.other 19 of them at schools keeping our kids safe.or investigating drug dealers and theives.or mabe helping a cat out of a tree.somthing for a change that would help the good tax payers of this county show where our tax dollars are being used for the good of this county...not pulling sombody over if there behind on there qutoe for that month.and on the rest of your statments if they dont like there job they can get a real job like the rest of hard working tax payers of this county.know on the other hand there is a few good officers that still beleive in truly helping people .not many of them left tho.also i herd when they go to resterants they want there food for free.whats up with that.

I work with a bunch of over 18 year old dumba$$ kids that couldn't change a tire. Hell most don't know which way to loosen or tighten a bolt. Then again I bet their better at video games than I am but I don't know if that will feed a family.

You know nowhere in my post did I say anyone had to agree with anything I said. All of my statements were merely my opinion. I am not old by any means if that is what you are implying. I'm just saying that there is always a first time for any cop to get hurt when he stops a vehicle and it is not only 16 yr olds who drive the cars with tinted windows. I never had a problem with cruising because it gave kids something to do. There were just certain ones with bad intentions who ruined it for the rest. To me the loud thumping stereos are irritating as crap, but shouldn't drown out everyone elses music. Yes you're right some of the cops now did some of these things a few years back and even got caught for doing them. But now they have a job they have to do like anyone else, so in my opinion we need to let them do it.

Yeah, I think you're right. Nowadays cops are just trying to generate revenue on the back of the working man. On top of that, they make their living out of the pocket of the taxpayer. It's no wonder people are growing more and more opposition to the government.

Ofcourse they only want to ticket or arrest the working person. How else would they have a job.

If they go arrest a deadbeat, pill head.

1st they person gets a court appointed attorney (Tax payers money)
2nd while in jail they get food, clothing, medical.(Tax payers money)
3rd court cost idk how that works.(I'm sure the tax payer pays that too)
4th Probation, That has to be paid also. That's one reason you see so many getting probation violation. They don't have any money, no job.

Some draw a government check and they use that money to pay fines. Which is Tax payers money.

So why not go catch somebody speeding, trying to get to work?

True story! Names have been changed to protect the innocent.

We'll call her Lady A. Lady A is a pill head, who gets messed up on pills and goes shoplifting.

Lady A gets caught, needs lawyer, fines, court cost & probation fees.

Lady A is drawing government check, 2 I think.

Lady A spends every dime of that government check to pay for the trouble she got in.

Lady A shows up at food bank, chuches, begs, steals and sells pills to have money to keep her apartment and for food.

This has happened 2 or 3 times, also there is kids involved which adds a lot more to the story, but I'm not going to talk about that for their sake.

And we tax payers are paying for that and many more like it and what this whole thread was started about. Getting money from the kids and working parents to pay for all this mess.
