Just wondering if anyone had tried this yet. My family and I went there for breakfast today...nothing to write home about, tasted like everything was bought already done from a food vendor and not made fresh.

Wondering if lunch or dinner were any better.

I haven't ate there but from what I understand the guy who opened it was a manager at Denny's or somewhere like that. Please let them settle in and get things going before posting negative comments. Because it didn't suit you, and you consider yourself a critic, judging by your screen name you decide to post that comment on here. You may have just cost him his business and thousands of dollars in start-up costs. Do you really want to kill his business before it gets started? If so, why don't you open a restaurant and show us how it's done?

I can not, for the life of me, understand why people come on this site and slam new businesses in town. They complain over simply everything. No matter what, someone has a negative hateful comment. It is as if they think the whole world is waiting for them to share their opinion.

It is unfair to slam the new restaurant, and I guarantee, that that one comment will hurt the business, because negativity spreads. Before you know it, other people will come on here with something disparaging to say, and soon, the man's dream of owning a restaurant, along with his investment, will vanish, and he will close. It's how it works here in Greeneville. Nothing is ever good enough. Complain, complain. It's sad. People are more eager to step on you than to help you up.

Hope this quote cheers you up and adds positive food for thought :

Miss Sue: You like Tennessee? That's a good school. Not at the academic level of Ole Miss but they have an outstanding science department. You know what they're famous for? They work with the FBI, to study the effects of soil on decomposing body parts. When they find a body, the police wanna know how long it's been dead. So the fine folks at Tennessee help them out. Oh, they have lots of body parts. Arms and legs and hands, from hospitals and medical schools. And do you know where they store 'em? Right underneath the football field. So while it's fine and dandy to have 100,000 fans cheering for you, the bodies you should be worried about are the ones right under the turf. Set to poke up through the ground and grab you... Well, it's your decision where you wanna play ball. Don't let me influence you.- THE BLIND SIDE

From what I understand the lease is so damn high on that building it's near impossible for anyone to make it in there. I've heard as high as 6000.00 a month. IDK if that's true. You would think the landlord would give someone a break on that plasce year. Rather have someone in it with a smaller amoutn coming in than for it to be empty.

Firstly, I would like to respond....I am in NO WAY a critic, just like good food.

I was simply wondering if the lunch or dinner was any different or if I just got a bad selection. Just didn't care for the breakfast.

Secondly, in my personal opinion, if you are going to open a new restaurant, PLEASE put your best foot forward first, it wins people over.

I do have to say that the service was MUCH better than the previous restaurant that was there.

Additionally, I know the rent from the Cobbles is extremely high, or at least I hope they learned their lesson about ridiculously high rent.

I really think people have to stop being so sensitive and realize that this was the purpose of this forum, to talk about what is going on in the community, good or bad and to voice opinions.

Also, saying I didn't care for the breakfast, isn't exactly a "slam".....that would be saying EVERYTHING was terrible, which they weren't.

For once, the voice of reason. I think if your rent is as high as some of you are saying...you had better be putting out the best food you can.

The rent in that building is very high. My parents had a restaurant in town and they checked that building back before chuckwagon bbq was there. The rent was extremely high and comes with retrictions like No Alcohol Sales.

This town is just so full of negative bashers...let them get it together and establish themselves! This town doesnt need anything else but a few McDonald's...I'll just burn up my gas driving back and forth to Johnson City!!! Stay at home and eat that government cheese!!!

In part, I can agree with you, but when you told others to learn to spell, you lost me. I could hardly read your post for the errors and lack of capitalization and punctuation.
I have not eaten there yet, but I do intend to as soon as the traffic dies down. The parking lot was full tonight, and I hope it continues. I'd love to have another place to get home cooked meals. I hope they are wonderful. Fat Boyz' food is delicious, but since they are not open at night, this would be a great place to get a meat and three. I wish them much success.

I actually said for people to brush up on the location history and ill brush up on my spelling. And if you cant read something thats not capitalized or has a period at the end something is wrong. I messed up on my spelling or i actually just didnt care most of these greeneville hicks could read it better than i a book. I hope this is better for your taste of writing. I made sure to capitalize and put periods at the end of my sentinces. And yes try there chicken its wonderful.
