New here...looking for someone to build. I've gotten good names, but what about the bad ones to watch out for??

Mark Smelcer(Appalachian Builders) is pretty good. Had great luck out of him, as have several friends of mine.

I have heard to stay away from Matt Wolfert too, but he made some really good propositions. Any thoughts?

-Barry Fortner

Landscaping -
-Richard Hickerson
-Malone's Landscaping (Which screwed everyone in town over and is now doing landscaping work through Brooks & Malone Plumbing)

Avoid Future Builders if they are still in business and also in the Asphalt/Paving business avoid any of the Coopers from Morristown and also Miser Paving.

Avoid Lawn Pro. He talks a good game when he wants your business but he does horrible work.

John Walker is one of the best. You have not heard of him because most do not have the money to have him build the big houses that he does. Ask at Greeneville builders, they have heard of him.
