Essentially, it's processed fish, usually an Alaskan white fish such as Alaskan Pollock, and then lots of additives get thrown into the mix to obtain color, taste & texture. It's quite popular among the thrifty & budget minded peeps but I prefer the real deal, especially blue crab cakes. Oh how I long for the pre-Obama luxuries! FDLMAO!
