What kind of pig roast is this going to be? Heard they were having a hamfest on Saturday morning. Is it all you can eat with biscuits and gravy? Country ham or city ham? Can I get green eggs with that, too?

You ain't country, are you?

Found out that a hamfest is a ham radio enthusiast get together and have a swap meet. According to some of the pictures and things I read, the flea market is not limited to radios, it can be almost anything electronics related. I am going to go, might find a good bargain on a computer.

I believe it is canned ham, as opposed to country ham, the good salty kind.

A city ham is half of a ham leg (shank or shoulder) that has been cooked by the manufacturer and is generally reheated by the consumer. It is ham most often served at Christmas or Easter or any other holiday. A country ham has been salted and hung up to allow the salt to remove a lot of the moisture. That's why it is so salty. The lack of moisture concentrates the flavored. Both are excellent for certain applications. Neither of which involve talking on a radio.

The term "city ham" is only used by country people, I suppose. Not trying to offend, just saying. My statement was more sarcastic than inquisitive.
