I love Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church on Old Tusculum Road. Sometimes people stand up and start testifying and singing. Those are the Sundays that Preacher Gragg doesn't even preach his sermon because the Holy Spirit takes over! Those Sundays are filled with goose bumps and tears of joy. I have never experienced another church like it. Also there are a lot of activities for children and teens. The building is located at 2320 Old Tusculum Road (If you are at Pioneer market on the 107 in Tusculum, Oak Grove is on the hill behind the store).

I have plans to start a church in the near future. I'm gonna serve beer and let people who want to smoke cigarettes do so. It's time we get real.

There's a small church on 107 that is family owned and operated. Caution!

What is a educated church.
You know, a church that doesn't believe in evolution and thinks that the earth is only 6000 years old. Well versed in the book of fairy tales, Jonah and the whale, pillars of salt, and turning water into wine. Oops...forget that last one, drinking is a wicked sin!

SOLOMON LUTHERAN just off Asheville Hwy. going towards Cedarcreek comm. It is a wonderful Christian Church. Ordaned Pastors who are college educated. No loud preaching , no judgeing,no jumping around, sunday school classes for all ages.Go straight out Ashville Hwy. turn right when you get to South Greene high school. Its about 1/2 mile to the church. Sign on the corner says "SOLOMON LUTHERAN CHURCH".(9:30 a.m. every Sunday) I hope to see you there soon!

I tried a church near Gray Tn. on the Christmas Eve service. The church was called Tri Cities Baptist. There was a big crowd there. They were very unfriendly and they took up an offering before the service had even started. From the time I pulled in the parking lot until I got back to the car after the service, I only had two people speak to me. It kinda makes you want to go back, don't it?

Please realize that every church with a paid minister is a business, and as with any business, when a profit isn't being made, they go out of business.

Perhaps those in attendance were there to worship God instead of you.

Maybe the person wasn't iterested in being worshiped. Maybe they just wanted to feel like they were welcome there. That might be a good time to make a visitor feel welcome.

When attending church, whether as a member or a visitor, one's focus should be on God, rather than the timing of the offering plate.

There are several good Churches in this area. It's the majority of the people who attend that one needs to avoid.
