You are making a wise decision. Beware of Baptist Church folks.

This should be a personal decision. The only way that you will know is to try some out! Whether you end up at a Methodist, Lutheran, Baptist, Non-Denominational.....it doesn't matter. If you agree with the doctrine being taught there and feel like the people have a genuine heart and attitude, that is a good church in my book. Don't limit yourself to one denomination or church....see what each has to offer as far as reaching out into our community. Get involved. Good luck!

First you need to be honest. Just putting this on here to bash the Baptists by answering your own question does show you need something.

I work on Sundays now but, was attending Crossroads Church and really liked it. I looked for a church in Greeneville for a long time after moving here. Crossroads has great music and good teaching. They meet at the fairgrounds in Greeneville at 10am Sunday mornings.

You folks didn't catch the inference within the original post. He or she is looking for a church with a well-educated congregation. I doubt the OP will find other smart people on "Opie Arnold Road" or at some ram-shackled gathering of heathens at The Greene County Fairgrounds. The prior mentioned area is best known for illicit drug sales and the latter for the gathering of farm animals.

Thanks. I was just stroking you a little bit. Years ago my family moved to town and we wanted our children brought up in a church among their peers, those being the kids they went to school with. It was a big deal for us to leave our small country church, but after visiting a few we ended up in one of the historic Main Street churches downtown. I enjoy going to church in town. It's like you said, they have to decide for themselves. May God be with you!

Find a church that believes in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and believes the only way to Heaven is through Jesus; one that stands for the Bible which is Gods holy word. Daybreak Baptist 4507 Gap Creek Rd in Bulls Gap is a good church.

Churches have really changed in the last few years. Most of them will try anything to get people there so they can get more $$$$$$$.
