It's ok, it seems Ethan's got what he wanted - a few people following his every word and believing the lies he's spinning to try to get his butt out of life in prison. His friends are just too immature or blinded by their inability to accept their friend is a cold blooded murderer.
And again, the "ABUSE" allegations are that Roger didn't spend time with him. THAT IS NOT ABUSE. PERIOD.

With that kind of attitude and blind trust in a murdering "friend", the community probably needs to be concerned about you following in his footsteps.

hey pal I don't know who you think you are and quite frankly I really don't care but I do know one thing you don't have to know a person to know that they are a low down scumbag for shooting their father in his sleep........oh wait I mean showing him who the bigger man is because everyone knows that it takes a really big man to get "scared" because of someone snoring.....and as for the whole abuse thing I don't care if his dad beat him on a daily basis its still no excuse to murder him in his sleep and then try and dispose of the weapon in a public park where children play on a daily basis......and as for you you're clearly not using common sense because you are trying to defend your so-called friend who admitted to shooting his dad in his sleep....and if you were half the friend you say you are then why didn't you report all this so-called abuse....oh wait that would be because there actually was no abuse.......

I believe his Dad lives out of town. Maybe he will "dodge that bullet"! It was ridiculous how Ethan tossed the gun in the park's pond. Been watching too much CSI -like crap!

The thing many people seem to leave out is the signs that Rodger was physically abusing Ethan. Yeah Ethan was a bit spoiled but his mom dies then his dad starts abusing him, what kind of mental state would you be in when the walls come crashing down around you like that?

I don't know if he was abused or not, but Ethan had access to a number of different people to help him. He was 18 at the time. He also had resources to get help. He was in a better position to get help than a lot of peolpe being abused, they didn't shoot anyone.

Im not saying he should have killed his dad but nor am I saying he should have life in prison. Yes he needs to serve time but people do change. People saying he should "fry" arent thinking nor are they aware of the money involved in that. Yes Ethan should have just moved in with his grandmother Norma but that isnt what happened.

Haha yeah right. Can't wait to see the "evidence" presented about this one.

Regardless, he had ways of seeking out help and he was almost 18, old enough to get out of the house and away from whatever he thought was wrong. It seems more like he wanted to ride the gravy train of getting everything he wanted and not have to abide by any of the rules that were set out for him.

And what's with the people coming out of the woodwork lately to defend this scum, throwing around new defenses for scumbag Ethan? Might be a defense attempt to see if people buy into their b.s. It's happened before and it happens a lot more than people realize.

Hey buddy, get your own pokemon trainer name XP I personally knew Ethan, I grew up with him and I honestly thought he was a spoiled brat. That aside though, the doctor did find evidence of physical abuse. And I did state in my next post that he could have done something else but what Im saying is he shouldnt serve life or get the death penalty. Let him serve 20 or 30 years and then spend some time in a half way house so they can monitor him and see how he does in society.

Just my opinion;
I am not defending Ethan in any way, but his dad had the whole force behind him and Ethan knew that. Would they have believed him. Their has been known cases of abuse not presented because of who was involved.(with money and without) Not sayin this is the case. I do know people on both sides of the family, but not enough to even guess about abuse. Had Ethn not of shot him in the back, I guess abuse would of been more believable.

His medical report in prison showed he had shrunken testicles do to abuse. His dad was kneeing him because it wasnt an obvious place for people to notice. And he shot his dad in the head, not the back.

Steroid use can cause both testical shrinkage and unusual aggressive behavior.Wondering if anyone knows if he was checked for steriod use? This senerio seems to be more plausable and would explain both things?

It still doesn't prove that his father was the one doing the abuse. He wrestled competitively, which could easily explain damage to ones testicles (with or without a protective cup). It could have been caused a variety of other ways, especially in ones youth.

The sad thing here is that Roger will not be able to defend himself in court when his son drags his name through the mud to get out of the trouble he finds himself in. Yes, Roger was a police officer and that might have made him hesitant to turn him in, but there are still many other resources he could have chosen - even just waiting until he hit 18 and could get out of the house would have been an acceptable one. There may be loyalty between police officers, but most would turn against each other if they found out they were abusing their kids in any way. It's one of those natural instincts that people have, especially parents, that make them want to protect their young. Let it also be clear that there have been no allegations from anyone aside from Ethan that he was abused or that there were signs of it. In fact, just a few weeks ago the only thing mentioned as far as abuse goes is that his father didn't spend time with him and go to his wrestling/cross country events - not kneeing him in the groin.

It all just seems too convenient for me to believe that there is any truth to his abuse claims. The timing looks more like a defense attempt to get the abuse claim out there and in the community from which the jury pool will be selected.

Well this wasnt new claims though. I heard these claims about 2 weeks after he got locked up. Maybe I have heard more since Im actually in the family but this really is old news.

on a side note I wonder how many people we can get to use pokemon trainer names on here haha. I always remember Ethan had the new and the best pokemon games and I always had to wait till my birthday or christmas to get them.

Anything new on this topic? I've met him and he seems to be an arrogant prick. Pretty sure by the way he speaks, he's going to get out of all of this. Hmmmm
