Hey Jar Head. Did you see this score? That was an undefeated Carter team ranked fairly high in 4A! I may have to go to the game if Greeneville hosts Fulton in the 2nd or 3rd round.

I was just about to post about this. Carter was ranked 9th in 4A and undefeated and it was 62-0 at halftime before Fulton put in their reserves. I saw where Greeneville beat Cumberland Gap 68-0. Fulton's stud running back only carried the ball only 10 times. The first 3 carries he lost yardage and during the next 7 carries he scored 4 times and ran for 178 yards. The playoff brackets come out at 11 tomorrow and this is going to be exciting. I love HS football and especially the playoffs. I'm really looking forward to a GHS/Fulton matchup and I am looking forward to spending a Friday night in Gville spending money and watching the two best teams in the state battle it out. What more can you ask for?

I may take my son to this game. He is starting to really get into football and this would be a great one to go to. If the game ends up being here let's try to meet up. Sounds like we could talk football all night. Are you from Greeneville? I get the feeling you aren't.

Fulton will be the number 1 seed out of the quad. Greeneville will be the 2 seed out of the quad. If Sullivan South had won last night, they would have been the 2 seed and Greeneville the 3 seed.

Greeneville will have to go to Fulton.

Only one other Greene County team will go to the playoffs. Chuckey-Doak is likely a 4 seed so they host one game. If they win, they get to go to Alcoa the next week.

I went to the game last night at Fulton. I was really disappointed in Carter. I don't know if they were actually overrated or Fulton is just that good. I am a big GHS fan. When they play, the Rollins kid will be the fastest kid on the field. GHS actually has more team speed than Fulton. I left at halftime and I don't think Carter ran the ball over 5 times. They done nothing, but pass. Their receivers were open almost every down, but their quarterback kept over throwing. If GHS can stop the Rollins kid I think they will win this game. If not, he will run all over them. I am glad I went, because I am certain that GHS can play with Fulton. This is the fastest all around team that GHS has had. I hope the game is in Greeneville. The refs made a few bad calls last night and it will be hard to beat Fulton and the refs there.I'm definitley not saying it would of changed the outcome of the game. I was sitting with Fulton fans and they agreed about the bad calls also. It should be a heck of a game. They for sure are the best 2 4A teams in the state. By the way, that #74 is a horse. He looks like a professional athlete standing next to the other players. Jar Head, GHS just may surprise you. You guys are fast, but over all we have the fastest team speed.

If I am reading it correct, if Fulton and Greeneville win out the game will be played at Fulton.

I will too. I thought I was getting to Fulton in plenty of time last night. Boy was I wrong. I'm leaving a heck of a lot earlier for this one. That is if it happens. It should be a great game. I'll agree Fulton has a heck of a team. I just wasn't as impressed with them last night after what I have been hearing. Knox Carter may have been better than I thought though. I do remember the Rollins kid from last year and he was even more impressive last night. Their QB is also quick.

Carter brought a lot of fans to the game so I'm sure it was hard to find a place to park if you didn't arrive early as their is not a lot of parking to begin with. So, you weren't impressed with a 62-0 halftime lead against an undefeated team ranked 9th in the state? They have been rotating in some younger kids after the first couple of series and playing mainly reserves the whole second half since they have such huge leads. I'm sure GHS is doing the same thing.

They have a weak schedule compared to other teams. The reason they end games with high scores is because they do not play teams that are on their level. They should not even play the county teams. I hope Fulton stomps them!
They actually have to play the county teams. They are in the same district. They tried to get in the district with Elizabethton, but tssaa wouldn't put them there due to longer travel. They played Harlin county, Kentucky which was ranked #2 in the state in 5A at the time they played. They played Signal Mountain, Which were #10 in the state at the time they played. They played Morristown West which is a 5A school. They played Jefferson City which is 6A, I think. They beat in preseason, 6A Johnson City Science Hill, Kingsport Dobyns Bennette, They also beat 5A TN High in preseason. I think that is pretty darn good for a 4A school. If Elizabethton and Greenevile both win, and they should, their first games, then they will play Elizabethton who should be ranked #3 in the state. So come to this game and we'll see if they can beat any ranked teams.

The score is impressive sure, but Carter I thought was awful weak. I thought Carter was actually ranked #7. Don't you actually think Carter should of tried to run the ball. They had first down on Fulton 6 yard line and tried to pass it in every down. They had receivers open they just kept over throwing them. I'm not taking away from Fulton in any way. I just think Carter was over ranked. Signal Mountain was ranked #10 when we played them . They had 2 losses to 5A schools. One of their losses was to #2 ranked Chattanooga East Hamilton by 2 points. They, to me, appeared to be a lot better than Carter. A couple of Fulton fans I sit next to, told me Rollins and the big #74 were only juniors. One guy told me they only had 1 senior on the team. I looked at their roster online and they had 21 seniors and both of those 2 players were seniors. So like Greeneville they will be losing a lot. I hope it is a great game. You guys may blow us away. I just honestly think we can play with Fulton. I didn't think we could until I watched them play. I could be wrong. I usually am.
