I'm so very happy for you that you have a wonderful man & that you believe in your faith.:) I also know of a man who met a seemingly brilliant, beautiful woman in church who could have provided sufficient material for a "made for TV movie" lol. It was a disaster people still speak of some 25+ years later. It was more of a situation where the devil owed the guy a debt & paid him with a girlfriend! I think one just has to be careful no matter how you meet.
I'm holding out for fate/divine intervention of whatever nature to bring me a good man. Men around here seem skittish to ask women out, commit to a relationship or put any effort into it. I hear this from many women, of all ages, backgrounds, shapes & sizes. Furthermore, there aren't many men who aren't attached. I implore married people to try marriage counseling if their relationship hits the rocks. It's hard to make a relationship last the duration but its a tougher market out there to find a quality date!
Best of luck to you & many more wonderful years as a couple!:)

My advice to the one that's hunting a good man is to get in churchand let God have your life and start praying for his will to be done. God knows what kind of man you need and you just need to give your life to him and let his will be done in your life. God blessed me with a wonderful husband, and I thank him for joining us together. Love is wonderful but God can bring you some one beyond your dreams. After almost 44 years of a wonderful marriage I give my praise to my loving Heavenly Father. So think about how God can bless you to by letting him have your life and taking control. Bless you and may you find the rght one.
First, let me congratulate you on 44 years of marriage! That's rare in today's world. From a Christian perspective, I understand where you're coming from. But, the era you dated and married in is so different from today. If you've been married that long, you must be in your 60's or 70's depending on what age you were at the time of marriage. The men in your era were men returning from Vietnam, men that actually would work and support their family, men that took pride in themselves and not rely on welfare, men that put God first and their wives/kids next. Please understand what I'm saying. I was raised in church and went to Bible college as well. This is the man of my era: unemployed with Mama and Daddy picking up the tab, no mentality of what the word "responsibility" means, getting women pregnant and then screaming "It aint mine", and putting women and kids last (instead of first) because he's too busy clubbing at the pub...Oops, I forgot how to be a man and step up to the plate!

How very touching. Maya Angelou has some great messages but I have found her to be very full of herself in interviews. Her personality leaves something to be desired IMHO. I would describe her as pompous & supercilious.

Dang it! I hope using big words didn't just kill any remaining hope of finding me a cute, clean, good time boy! Country boys welcome as long as you are reasonably cute, fun & want to have some good times.:)

I agree that a large percentage of men in this day & age are total POS, but women have played a significant role in the ever-increasing # of lousy men, given that there are too many who are totally willing to tolerate bad behavior & simply chalk it up to "men being men"...not to mention the FAR TOO MANY promiscuous women who will jump into bed with pretty much any man who looks in their general direction.

Leave it to Word Woman to talk this one up too much! Now DCS is gonna be after me for sexually abusing my imaginary children! I have make believe presents under the tree for my make believe children & this close to Christmas. Thanks for getting my imaginary children taken away.
Maybe Aly-G will bring us "toys" to replace them & to fill that "empty spot" since my make believe family will be destroyed! Anyhow, as Word Woman advised, I have been accused of being her & she of being me....so you might only get one chick not two! Hmmmmmm....
I can sing a mean rendition of "Santa Baby" ......
I'd rather hear your version of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus."
HO HO HO!!! I think the rest of it goes, "Underneath his belt buckle last night."

I'm a great songwriter, another hidden talent. I will have to work on it.:)

My latest song involves a woman wanting a passionate man to keep her worn out. Where do I find this material for song writing??....... ;)

You have to ACTUALLY go out into the REAL world to meet REAL people. Those who won't come out from behind their computer/phone and who rely on "cyber" companionship are really missing out on life, love and happiness.

You've lost yourselves to this fantasy online world. What if the online world didn't exist? If this outlet weren't available would you be motivated to then get out into the real world or would you still hide away from it? How can a 'cyber' existence really bring comfort, affection and serenity to your life? Acceptance and rejection are both equally uncertain but one thing is for certain, to always drift along in a cyber existence without actual human contact you're destined to be lost, lacking and always imagining the "what ifs?". It's sad for those who have so much to offer to deny themselves and others potential companionship. Divine intervention? You can keep trying to convince yourself that you have no control over your own destiny but you're wrong.

Well, ladies...if you stay up late tonight, there's a distinct possibility that you may find a good man climbing down your chimney!! He's a bit of a player, but he brings presents & expects nothing in return except good behavior, which means he is one of the very few, if not the only man who is smart enough to steer clear of the bad girls...lol...happy holidays, all!!!:)
