I am a very busy parent. I am not one to go to the school over everything my child comes home and tells me but a few times I have called and made a trip to the school. The bullying is out of control. I know they have been informed about this situation many of times by several different parents. I was told one time kids will be kids and as the get in high school it will get worse but your kid needs to learn to take up for his self. My opinion, they should strive to change things instead of saying your kid needs to learn to take up for his self. They need to take control over the bullying and put a stop to it!

I remember a time when kids worked out their own problems at school. I have a child at CDMS and the biggest problem I've seen is not the kids but the parents that run to the school every time their child gets their feelings hurt . In my opinion bullying is when a child has been physically hurt, or constantly harassed, disagreements between children is normal and sometimes when adults get involved the situation gets blown out of proportion. Unfortunately we cannot as parents protect our children from everything that will hurt them or upset them . Maybe we shouldn't blame the principal or asst principal ,how can they do their job while dealing with middle school drama.
why deal

Maybe they should quit dealing with the drama and do their jobs. Seems like the parents who yell the loudest get their way. And usually the ones who yell the loudest are the uncivilized anti-education parents...so basically, that's who is running our school right now. The administrators should grow a backbone and be the leaders they agreed tobe when they took the positions~!

My kids go there and hate it, it's constant drama, bullying, and nothing gets done at all. My one child loves school but since they have go to the middle school they hate it and have to be made to go when they used to get up and love to get on the bus.

Mrs. Brooks needs to go. She is not taking care of any thing at that school. The teachers have lost all respect for her and the kids hate her. She can flash that fake smile at all the sports events she wants, but everybody knows what that smile is hiding and thats a snotty Im better than you attitude. She needs to climb off that high horse and make some positive changes starting with herself. She is the biggest BULLY at that school....

It seems a bunch of parents want more education than what they can afford. I also think the "you cannot paddle my child" comes into play here as well. Hell I got 5 licks just for making fun of a kids hair. He and I both cursed each other and then Mr. Holt took the wooden paddle out. After that, I wasn't mentally scarred, but I sure as hell didn't disrupt my class in that manner again.

you are so right they need authority and I as a parent do not sign that slip of paper stating my child cannot get corporal punishment!

Cdhs was always the druggie school. Sghs was always the hell raising rednecks. Wghs and nghs were always just the cool whatever happens-happens crowd. Ghs is bad for drugs and of course the better-than-you kids. Small town...........will never change.

I don't know if Mrs. Brooks is leaving, but Coach Arrowood is leaving. Whose idea was it to make him leave. He is the best teacher I ever had and a great coach. All the baseball and basketball players love him.
