The place is a mess. Kids get bullied and nothing gets done. The principals have no control over the students and it pours over into the classroom. If you don't believe it, look at what the teachers said about the principal in an annual survey.

Oh the stories that could be told. Teachers talk when you ask but they are afraid to say anything to people that matter.(Refer to the question about trusting the leadership).

If it is just going to stay the same, maybe people should share their experiences with the Greeneville Sun.

Oh, if those stories get out to the Sun Dr. Kirk would have a fit...there's enough that goes on there to fill the front pages for weeks...that school has been driven into the ground by the administration and the ONLY way to fix it is to start over. Cannot blame us parents for not wanting to send our kids there.

some of the kids are getting punished for things that they did not do...I tried meeting with teachers and Mr Broyles that was a joke!!!!!! Ms Brooks is hardly there and when I call I get no calls back.. I finally gave up and my child no longer goes to this school and he is better off...but when I do get the chance I will be sitting in front of Dr Kirk with more evidence then she wants and if that don't help ill take it to the Greeneville Sun... I feel sorry for the students at this school if parents can id get my kid out just like I did

Why would you take information to the news??? Just go talk to Mrs. Brook shes a reasonable person. I belive shes just stressed because of them stupid TCAPs. I heard from the kids that she yelled at tha assistant. then she fussed over announcements about balls bouncing in the hallways. So tell me? why would a perfessinal do that? Haven't you ever been stress. Have some HEART!!!

Nope no heart here, if she can't handle the stress maybe it's time for her to move on.

She wanted the job knowing what it entailed and using T-caps as an excuse is just that an excuse.

She is under a lot of stress because she just lost her grandmother as well. Why else would she throw basketballs at Mr. Murphy and scream at the top of her lungs at the kids?

She's never acted like this before.

I worked for the old hag. She has always wanted to appear to be one thing to her bosses, while she was completely different in reality.

She will do anything to get ahead even if that means blaming others for the problems she caused. Seen it too many times.

It wasn't like that when Shelly was there.

my kid told me that she was screaming at the teachers in the hall, not the kids. she thinks that the principal is loosing it.

said in a candy kick off that the kids wouldnt even listen to her because all she does is complain and whine.

she said she even wears greeneville stuff and has greeneville stuff at school. she even talked about a greeneville high fundraiser on announcements.

As a CDMS parent I have seen problems. What do I do if I see bullying...... I follow up. She was there did nothing, went to Broyles and he did. No neither are perfect but as parents and community members we must stand up for the children. Yes adninistration scored lower but look again community involvement did as well. That's on us. I am very informed by the school and my child of what is going on at the school, I get at least two calls-texts a week about school happenings. Thatportion of the survey is incorrect as far as I am concerned which leaves me to doubt other parts. I see to often people feeling entitled to more than what they give. When my child comes home talking about something that happened at school I dont always take it for face value. I ask questions about tge entire situation and 9 times out of 10 there is more to the story. The bottom line is if we are involved things will change for the bwtter of the children. IMO though Mrs. Brooks is not in a position she should be in. She is too worried about herself and pleasing certain others to be in a position of directing. So yes problems all around but it starts with us at home. Too many parents are simply too busy to bother. Not all but more than not.

I was there during TCAP week. You would be surprised at how bad the student behavior was. Teacher said they behave like that because nothing gets done when they are sent to the office except the teachers are blamed for not being able to control the class. The teacher would mark, fuss, and take away privileges, but the students just acted the same.

I would bet test scores will be low because how can a teacher teach when students backtalk, throw things, and refuse to listen when the principals allow it to go on?

My child had best hope he doesn't act that way in class and me find out. But then again many parents don't listen or start discipline at home. And no I dont spank. But my children know how to act and respect those with authority.

I agree. My kid better hope I never find out about behavior like this. But, what does it tell kids when they see constant out of control behavior that goes unpunished? or, ice cream for bad behavior.(i'm not making this up. I heard a kid got ice cream when sent to office by a teacher for bad behavior) And, how are my kids supposed to learn when teachers have to constantly deal with it because principal's have tied there hands??? the disipline plan changed 3 times this year. the last change seemed much more easy than the beginning of the year. In my house we don't let up on the kids unless theres extra good behavior. Sounds to me like they let up so they wouldn't have to deal with kids. Yeah, let them run wild in a class where you stress kids out to do good on a TCAP test. Sounds like a plan to me. A plan for FAILURE!

I will have to look into these things. It takes us pushing for change to happen.
