At many different churches of various faiths throughout the country it's not unusual to have a designated member of the congregation present to handle a disrupton of the services.

Yes, his name is Guido. He is a bad, bad man, so don't come in there with an attitude. Unastan?

We require no less than 4 bouncers at our church, 6 on Christmas. There's a strict unspoken code for worship style.

The mental image of some unruly worshipper getting booted out of the chapel by some big burly bouncer made me laugh!!!
However, on a more serious note...how on earth can anyone justify kicking someone out of a place of worship (unless they are threatening people's lives or something)??? Wouldn't that be judging someone & deeming him/her unworthy of being there???

How about the rights of the others in the congregation who want to worship peacefully without disturbance?

It's not that I don't agree...I don't attend church...I suppose, given that there are children & overly enthusiastic worshippers at any church, those who want to worship peacefully & without disturbance would probably be well-advised to do it within the confines of their own homes...

I do not attend church either. However, I do not think children and enthusiasm are problems for worshippers.
