Weems never touched the "victim".
How DO you know?
BTW. I did not accuse anyone of being an abuser but I certainly question one's motives for defending a person who takes advantage of a child this way.

GREENEVILLE — A 68-year-old Baileyton man who coerced a minor to have sexual intercourse with prostitutes while filming the encounters has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for his crimes.

Stanley Weems appeared in U.S. District Court in Greeneville on Monday and received the 180-month prison sentence on the charge of production of child pornography. Weems pleaded guilty to the charge in November, with the remaining two charges in the indictment — possession of child pornography and grooming a minor for purposes of sexual exploitation — dismissed Monday.

Weems faced a maximum of 30 years in prison. The 15-year sentence was the minimum amount, which was recommended by federal prosecutors and Weems’ attorney, Jim Bowman. If released, Weems will be on supervised release for life.

“This conviction represents the continuing commitment of the U.S. Attorney’s Office to bring those who would harm the most vulnerable in our society to justice,” said U.S. Attorney Bill Killian.

According to court records, Weems used the video and camera functions on cell phones to record images of minors engaged in sexually explicit poses and of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct with adults. The criminal acts took place from 2007 to 2011.

Weems’ acts were discovered after a 17-year-old male teen told the Greene County Sheriff’s Office he’d had sex with prostitutes at Weems’ house and that the acts were video recorded. The teen was 14 years old at the time the acts took place.

Court records state that a search of Weems’ home and seizure of his cell phones, as well as interviews with the prostitutes and recorded phone calls from Weems, confirmed the teen’s report. The other adults engaged in the offenses claim to have been misled by Weems about the minor child’s age.

Prosecutors say Weems can be heard in the videos, directing in the background. Court records also state Weems possessed sexually explicit photographs and a video of a minor relative and employed and coerced other minor children to participate in his activities.

The 17-year-old victim and his mother filed a $2 million civil complaint and order of protection against Weems in Greene County Circuit Court in July 2011. The victim is seeking restitution against Weems for the crimes committed against him.

The matter has since been transferred to federal court, and a hearing on the amount of restitution will be scheduled within the next 60 to 90 days.

The victim essentially provides a list of items owned by Weems, all of which could be forfeitable upon sentencing and could apply toward restitution. The list includes at least 50 head of cattle, bank accounts and Social Security funds, numerous vehicles and farm equipment, and a tobacco allotment. The victim also claims Weems has illegally transferred property to a relative, which could be applied to restitution as well.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a federal initiative launched in 2006 that aims to combat the proliferations of technology-facilitated sexual exploitation crimes against children.
