Its 15 YEARS not 15 days for god's sake. If you think 15 years in prison is some kind of cake walk you are in for a rude awakening. Im not saying the guy doesnt deserve it, but America is only about 5% of the world's population and yet we have over 25% of the entire world's prison population here in the U.S.A. We are addicted to putting people in prison in America. I believe 15 years of this mans life taken from him is plenty, considering the charge. IF the dude lives to be 75 (which I doubt) then 15 years is equal to 20% of his entire life spent behind bars. Try spending 20% of your life behind bars before you say he got off easy. Hell, spend 1% of your life behind bars and you'll have a different opinion. A week in prison feels more like a month anyway. I agree that child porn is WRONG. But nobody is dead. I know people who got 5 years for manslaughter but THEIR victm is never coming back. As wrong as child porn is, people can recover from that, nobody's life is "ruined". And Im so tired of murderers and the like trying to act like they are any better than a child molester. At least the victim of rape or molestation is still alive. Good god people.

If you or your child had EVER experienced abuse at the hands of a pedophile or sex predator, you would be singing a different tune, that is if you care about your child. Eternity is not long enough for an abuser to be behind bars. Are you an abuser???

I knew somebody wuld go there. When confronted with an argument of any kind against the prison system, Americans lose their minds. Like I said, this country is addicted to sending people to prison, and are not willing to even explore the subject. They justify their addiction by making accusations like this. Myself, I have been the target of several predators, as many MANY young women are. The difference is that I do not derive pleasure from knowing others are in prison.

Im not defending the man but here are some facts.

He is a 68 year old man.

15 years is most likely the rest of his life.

The minor in question was a 14 year old guy.

The video was actually taken on a cell phone, not exactly mass produced for porn industry resale.

None of the ADULT females that had sex with the minor were charged.

The old man didnt touch the guy, he recorded while the so-called kid got his rocks off on prostitutes.

The "victim" and his mother are suing for 2 MILLION dollars.

When i went to baileyton years ago he would come to our basketball games and stare at our assets. His son was a police officer at baileyton so of course nothing was done. EVERYBODY in Baileyton knew how he was and I really am surprised he wasn't caught sooner.

we dont lock people up in this country for watching ball games. and i think a decade and a half in prison is a little excessive for taking pictures of some random teenage dude getting it on with some prostitutes.

Honeybee he would give me and another girl a smirk and lick his lips! I know he did it to.me and theother girls telling them how good we look in our uniforms. WE WERE IN THE 5TH GRADE!!!! He would ask us if we wanted to go see his horses. His son is the same way! People knew. I bet if you come to Baileyton and ask anyone they will tell you they are not surprised in the least! The only thing they were surprised by was that the victim was a boy!

It could even be argued that BOTH males sexually exploited the vulnerable and drug addicted females for their own sexual pleasure. The courts send 14-year-olds to prison all the time for less serious charges than solicitation of prostitutes. The young man knew what he was doing and should be held responsible as well. While we are at it, the prostitutes who actually had sex with the minor should be charged as well. I see a lot of double standards here and it is more than a little concerning.

you are really blaming a 14,yr old,if he knew what he was doing or not doesn't matter he is a minor, being coached by an adult authority figure.
