County Schools Remain Closed, Flood Warning Issued

Greene County Schools will remain closed Wednesday due to flooded roadways, according to Director of Schools Dr. Vicki Kirk.

The National Weather Service has now issued a Flood Warning for Greene County, as well as additional counties in East Tennessee. Additional rainfall overnight of 1 to 2 inches are expected, which will cause additional flooding of creeks and streams. The complete advisory is copied below:

My kids and I did the same thing we always do when winter weather closes schools: we made puddle angels, had a rainball fight, made watermen, and watched the terrible drivers try to drive in the water.

everyone be careful with all this flooding and snow its bad to be outside at this time of day AMEN!

I did some rain-sledding/hydroplaning and made raincream (simultaneously)!
