I do not agree with city government often but they got the high road in this controversy. It would be difficult to lose the city as a partner in order to defend a racist redneck. It is what we county residents deserve for electing incompetent Mayors, incompetent Lawyers, Incompetent Commissioners, Incompetent State Representatives, etc, etc, etc.....The good ole boy network is being exposed big time in Greeneville, Tennessee and it is not something to be proud of.
What did the guy say to Barner that makes him a racist?

You can't blame Sheriff Burns, he only does what his wife demands. She thinks she has it all under control, until...

You must be a Redneck if you do not see Racism when it smacks you in the face. Here's your sign. It is obvious the town of Greeneville is much smarter than the County Government and is heading off serious outside trouble before it begins. If the County Government is seen as a Racist Government then much federal funding could just disappear and then the local yocals can really see what Home Rule is all about.
I don't know the people involved, but what if he is lazy, and got his job because of his color? Do you think that a white community organizer , who was a State Senator for a short while, and U.S. Senator for 1/3 of a term , could be elected President? I don't.

Hey bug spray, looks like you need some education badly! Obama was a State Senator from 1997 thru 2004 - 7 years. Then US Senator from 2005 thru 2008. 11 years total. Before that he graduated from Columbia University, was the first black president of Harvard Law Review, was a civil rights attorney and taught constitutional law for 12 years at University of Chicago Law School. Not too shabby!

Since you are so GD educated, please list all the white Presidents who held a national office or state executive office for only 2 years and 10 months before being elected President. If he was white, he wouldn't have had a chance at getting elected.

Are you that f@#king stupid?? He was a State Senator for all but 2 years and 10 months of that period. A State Senator is the same as Tommy Haun was, and Steve Southerland is. No wonder he got elected. The electorate is not too smart.

No that would be YOU! You said he was a State Senator for a short time. WRONG! He was State Senator from 1997 thru 2004! Elected in 1996 and then again in 2002 - 7 years! He was then US Senator from 2005 thru 2008.

You should really try to read some.

I am pretty sure that you are a troll, because nobody with half a brain thinks that a State Senator holds national office. Good try though.

Actually only 16 Presidents out of 43 held US Senate positions with only 3 moving directly to Presidency for Senate position and Obama is one of the 3!
