Dr. Kirk needs to go. Contact the school board members to remove her.
1) Forcing our property taxes to be raised because she can't manage a budget.
2) Needlessly removing good teachers.

Everybody in Greeneville could call and they still wouldn't remove her. The only way you would ever get rid of her is to vote out all the scum bags leading this town.

Until people get out and vote, nothing will change.

I actually don't have anything against Dr Kirk. What puzzles me is, why do you give someone a 1 year extension on their contract when they still have 3 years left on it. I can understand a college or pro coach getting that if they had a great season. You wouldn't want someone to steal them away from you. Just don't make sense to do this for a director of schools.

I copied these from the school system website. You can easily call them and tell them what you think. Tell them that their time is limited on the school board if they don't start hearing what we are saying.

THANK YOU Mrs. Kathy Austin and Mrs. Deborah Johnson for trying to stop the madness. In my opinion Kirk and Jones have more than one screw loose. Cobble if you are so rich that you want to give your kin folk more money well go right ahead. But to hello with you trying to stick it to the rest of us to give them more money.

Crawford tries to ride the fence and the men are just puppets. It must be sad as parents to know you raised some boys without there middle parts. This woman is a nut case in my thoughts.

Yes they do. Running things like its theirs alone. It's NOT. They work for the people and when one of them does something for no explained reason THERE IS A PROBLEM.

You must have got your "learning" in the county. I get sick of Kirk going on about all our highly qualified educators. My daughter's teacher is corrected by my daughter who takes dual enrollment classes. It's pretty sad when the teacher is being be taught by their student. Whenever my daughter had to miss her class since she is involved in many extra activities, the kids tell her the teacher seemed lost.

They're are so many people that won't get out an vote because they think it's a waste of time and really they are right.

Most of the people running this town all graduated high school together. It's all a buddy buddy system and they can get away with anything they want and believe me, they are.

We need to replace the crooks with some honest and INTELLIGENT leaders that can get Greeneville back to being a safe and prosperous town.

Roger Jones is the one who needs to go. He knows nothing about education. It was as close as he could get to mayor.

Who was the better mayor Jones or Broyles? Can Crum beat Broyles? Will there be anyone else run besides Crum and Broyles?

There is someone else running against Broyles and Crum. He is one of my daughter's teachers who was moved schools.

You will have a choice of one mayor who has seen out of control spending and done nothing about it. One choice didn't even stick around to vote against the tax increase. The other choice is a teacher who was against a wheel tax increase and property tax increase.

Anybody, and I mean ANYBODY on that school board that thinks our taxes need to be raised again either owns no property, has a family member that's benefitting from it directly, or is a liberal!!!!!!!!!!
People we better get out and elect commissioners and board members that aren't going to fleece us next year. Many are up for election.....Property owners should really take notice...that one man on the board wants to raise our taxes now!!!! Then you read about them paving a d! road to a field house and not fixing the toilets, and having good locks on the school buildings. What is wrong with these people? If this is allowed to keep happening after next year's elections; It's our fault. That man from North Greene area wants to get elected again, and he's voted with Jones everytime. He voted for paving a doggone road to a field house and giving that superintendent another year when she has at least three left. They always use the kids to get the money then spend it on their own pet projects.

Did you just ask our family to vote for a teacher for office. Seriously????? Not in our lifetime. It's the teachers fault that I have higher taxes!! Give them the mażor's job and who knows when raising taxes would end?????????? REALLY?????????? You can't be serious!

Hear what is happening in other nearby county races. Out with the old and in with the new. Kudos to Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Austin. I would rather have a man but the men around here are either stupid or mean.

Not every teacher falls into the same category. Don't judge until you hear someone's message. Make informed votes, not just votes based on stereotypes and rumors. Do your research then make a decision. It's not teachers who raised your taxes, it was LIBERALS/DEMOCRATS and lilly-livered people who sat by and did nothing or WENT ON VACATION and couldn't vote.

Well, you all need to police your own better. As I recall, a room full of "educators" were photographed in the paper heckling any school board member that tried to talk sense about those bonuses and other money issues breaking the county. They got caught, now we know who some of them are, as I recall there was a commissioner or two in the pictures too (how do you dispute that). Where else in the world can an employee demand what they're going to get paid? And it's not even money made from profit, it's the tax-payers money. Hello, I don't appreciate them taking money out of my pocket when I don't make as much as they do, and yes, I am a college graduate. I, just like any other employee in any business in this town could go somewhere else to live and make more money. But, quality of life means something. Greene County is still a great place to raise a family and retire. The cost of living is a lot less here too.
Where can we find out how this county compares to other counties in test scores in the three R's? They want top pay for what they do, are we getting top scores to deserve that? Does anyone know? Surely it's not true about people getting thousands of dollars in bonuses when they retire is it? I read about it in the paper, but find it hard to believe anyone in the school system or on the board would think this is a good use for hard earned tax dollars.
I had a friend just retire as a manager at an office. She had been there for 37 years. People took up a collection from the office workers, and she got a free lunch. That's it!!
I just think the world's gone crazy. Employees are pricing themselves out of business. It's a union mentality. It hurts people like me that's just happy to have a regular job. We all know people who've had their hours cut, or lost their job all together, not to mention the huge increase in insurance they have to pay. No sympathy here..........
