What has happen to that place? That use to be a good place to work when I worked there a couple years ago, my gf works there now and it has gone down hill so much since I had left two years ago.

Poorly mananaged. They hire managers straight off the streets with no experience rather than hiring within their agency with people that actually have experience. It's just all who you know and screw at that place.

None of the agencies can hold employees. It's just the nature of the business. Burnout occurs rapidly. It is expensive to constantly train new people, but that's the way it goes.

They keep the ones who are lazy n half a** do their jobs.. n fire someone cause their supervisor loses their excuse. thanks tony holloman .. Which he is no longer there either. karma sucks dont it? For absentees no longer eligible for rehire thats bs. but hire any other idiots. off the street.

Gcs is a good place to work just needs better supervisors, but I think that is on the works now since they got rid of 2 of the worst.

Try Comcare if you're looking for a joke of a place to work. They hire all the left overs from other agencies. It is poorly managed from top dog to wanna be hot dog. Giving your opinion on your exit interview does nothing or believe me mine would have rocked the place. I told every thing I knew and then some, plus how staff felt but did not have the balls to tell them themselves because they still have to work there. It doesnt matter that the supervisors have their own set of rules they live by, then the rest of the dss have to follow a whole different set. The executive director is a joke, the director of nursing is an ABSOLUTE joke,in fact I heard another client died last week because of her stupidity and need for power, and the supervisors and department heads that run that place will all get what's coming to them one day. Karma is a bad bad thing folks. I truly hope I'm still breathing when the Karma bus comes back on that place and the "powers that be" within.
Everyone who wants to keep their sanity needs to stay away from Comcare. Not to mention that you dont get a lunch break, you must keep a client with you at all times. What happened to the labor board law that says I get a break? Try defending yourself on THAT ONE!
Anyway, enough from me. Go ahead and check it out yourself, or find someone who works there, bet ya wont hear one good thing come from their mouth about this place!!!!!!!!!!

. If your talking about the 2 that left July, they were great supervisors except when it came to dumb asses and there's a lot!!!

GCS could care less...they have terrible supervision, no communication & the Director has just turned it over to someone else. It sucks!!

You're right about Jill. Shehas no experience other than sitting with patients one on one so how could she possibly know anything? Not to mention, have you heard that backwoods grammar and accent?

This is all sad to see. I no longer work there left on my terms. I hate to see these things written about skills. There are some wonderful people there that really care and have the best interest of those they are paid to support at heart. Please stop and don't give the families of the service recipients any undue worry. I didn't and won't agree with all of the decisions of UPPER management and how they treat management and direct care staff but this is not going to make things change. The people are cared for and well. Better than any other agency...

Zanea Margie and Gayle are not there anymore. These agencies requiire 24 7 total commitment to run it right and these ladies had what it takes as a team. It can be done with the right people but one must have time to learn too. Just try to help and not hurt.

I've worked at skills for years amd at first I loved it. But over the last few months its when to hell. The management is a joke, we have lost the best and now we have people like sara p. And she is horrible at her job! What happened to it being all about the clients.
