I know who PG is but Ive sure not heard them on any XM station. Now Ill admit I mainly listen to octane and liquid metal so Im sure I could have missed it. It seems we have had a misscommunication. I know kris well and would never cut on him or ignore him. Ive not heard them yet so I cant voice an opinion on their sound or talent lvl. As for the part that Id never heard of them I did not notice the tiny lil quote in the quote with the name.
LOL! OK dude......first you never heard of them. Then you didn't see my little quote and had no idea who I was talking about (tho you just stated you never heard of them).....then you never actually worked with them on the benefit, you're a XM junkie but you listen to a different station tho I stated EXACTLY what show they were being played on. Then you know their former bass player and then you know who they are. Seriously dude, you don't know if you're coming or going. Go back and read what you posted. Looks like you're argueing with yourself! I'm not trying to be an butthead here man but either you need to lay the pipe down for a few weeks or you're just plain too stupid to follow your own written words! LOL! Is your butt sore from squirming? No miscommunication..........just read what you wrote.

How many paces? I honestly have no clue. Ive played in TN and every surrounding state over the last 25 yrs. Spent 3 yrs with Tainted Angel, 9 yrs with Rainbow Bridge from morristown, 2 yrs with Groove Kitchen, 2 yrs with Reigns to Ruin, and several other short stays with misc bands. Currently playing drums for Bodhi Awake and lead vocals for Cant Catch Steve. I agree on the covers vrs originals here. You didnt hurt my feelings, the moron statement was to the missunderstanding guy.

No squirming here. I may have written the wrong thing earlier but I explained it clearly in the last post. I know kris. Ive not heard PG. Now anything else I need to appologise for? Ask any GOOD/OLD local musician and most likely they know me and what I stand for. And even what type of person I am. Once more no pipe here. Stupid maybe. Again Im sorry if I seemed scatterbrained earlier.

I have sent my bands demo to radio station for local and loud but they wont seem to play it. I've sent it more than once but still nothing. I have heard Planet Hoffmann on liquid lunch several times and on local and loud. So if there is any pointers on how to get some airplay please feel free to give them to me. I just can't seem to get through to them.

In my experience its usually the sound quality that gets them not played. Set up a reverbnation acc "its free" then post here so I can tell ya if thats the issue. Ill be totally honest in my review. Wanna check out mine goto RN and search reigns to ruin or bodhi awake. ours are home studio unmastered recordings.

Jimmy D & The Jack are 2 of the most professional bands out of Greeneville & all of the Tricities area of Tennessee and Virginia. All of the members/musicians in those bands are true entertainers & seasoned performance artists that constantly deliver the goods with every performance. Both bands have built extremely solid reputations & brand name recognition for themselves making them 2 of the highest paid & most highly sought-after acts within the Tricities & surrounding areas. Record number crowds are always packing out the house in attendance @ their shows backing up the massive amount street creditability that's been rightfully earned by these 2 bands. Jimmy D & The Jack are busting out from the local scene & are fast becoming national acts.

Scull Soup is the only other band mentioned within this thread that are worthy to be branded as true professional performers. The Soup can still command top dollar and have been places and done things on a local and national level that all the rest can only dream about. Planet Hoffman is the only other band in Greeneville that's worth keeping an eye on. If they can stick together they'll have a shot at doing something big.

Well that's pretty funny considering YOU were working with them and a few other folks to help pull off a benefit for the tornado victims at Dogwood Park. Remember? Kris Long was playing bass for them at the time. Remember Padlock Grin was providing the PA as well as helping in several other ways. Your credibility just went out the window dude.
Kris Long is playing bass for Padlock Grin?????? Funny, I didn't see him playing for anybody @ the benefit. Of course, I was at the Tornado benefit that was @ Applebees, NOT Dogwood Park! You both seem to be confused! Maybe if you ventured out from behind your computer every once in a while you'd be a lil bit more informed!

Notice the word "was"? It has a meaning, look it up. I should have said guitar instead of bass, my bad. Club owner, you should pay more attention as some of your information is flawed.

Nothing flawed with my info, we've booked all 4 of the Top bands I mentioned, I know the prices those bands can command, the quality of professionalism they exhibit with each performance and the record numbers of attendees that they consistently draw to their shows.

I'm not here to slam anyone I just call it like I see it. As a Co owner of a club we have to bring in the bands that the people want to see, the 4 bands I mentioned are the most talked about and highly requested bands out of GREENEVILLE and that's what this thread was about. If you don't like any of the bands I mentioned that really means nothing. Put your money where your mouth is and spend it promoting a show with any of the other bands listed in this thread and see how well you do. When you do it let me know and I'll book either the SOUP, The JACK or Jimmy D on the same night and watch your event turn into shambles. You'll be lucky if 40-50 people show up.

Never said I didn't like those bands. As a matter of fact, I know all of them personally with the exception of a few members. What I AM saying is there are other bands that are worthy of a listen and just because you are co-owner of a club does not automatically make you an expert on what people should be listening to. I've played the club circuits for most of my life and I have a pretty good ear for good music and I've managed some pretty successful night clubs myself. One thing I have learned in all those years is that when a club owner or co-owner in this case, closes their minds to the entertainment they provide, it's not long before they close their doors. Regardless of how good their entertainment is, people get tired of the same old band rotation.Seems like most other locals, you listen to a few select folks who's interest is purely self centered. Your attitude alone will keep my dollars out of your pocket. Typical. BTW, how long have you been co-owner?
