Excessive

The city has an administrator, mayor, finance officer, accountant and personel director. One of these could pick up the work of recorder. It would be excessive to ask the taxpayers to fund another position with this economy and the high unemployment rate!

I agree it is excessive and wasteful of our city to consider hiring more staff. There's always too many standing around talking when I go there. No they sure don't need to hire more.

She's the one that is a problem employee and WT's little pet. What are the chances her job is going away?

The radio station said this morning that Alderman Paxton questioned the need for a recorder now that the city has a city administrator. He spoke of cost and how it was presented as costing less by hiring an admin at much lower cost a few months ago. Now Susong says she needs help. Does the city administrator not help her?

The board is organized against Paxton but he never surrenders and he is not afraid of being scratched. He wisely suggested the board establish a job description before hiring someone.

Carol Susong must have time to have her hair done during the work day come rain or shine. It's a little darker today.

No job description but the board voted to seek qualifications. Sounds a little back ass. It does appear help is needed keeping voided check numbers out of reach of someone clever.

This Topix headline reads "Recorder position to be studied" that was what Mr. Paxton ask for. The board voted to advertise to hire.

Is there anyone that works there qualified? Didn't Carol Susong say the city administrator should be certified? So why wasn't he certified or doesn't her opinion matter. Anyone qualified?

We have a city administrator now who is trained and educated in city managment. He don't need a by the books kind of recorder. They get in the way of progress and keep Greeneville from growing.

. I agree totally. We don't need a Recorder. Let the adminiatrator run it. Why hire another highly paid salary position.

Is this a set up to give Carrol Susong a raise in pay? Will Carroll bid the job and enjoy a large pay?

. It is all a big act. That's what she's been after. She has CPA's from BC&S doing her work for months before the RM audits. If she and Todd (Professional City Administrator can't do the work they should resign at once! I am one taxpayer tired of hearing her whine.

I can't believe they're trying to pull this waste of revanue over our heads. Can you imagine this amount of excess staff in private industry? The mayor talked of having a balanced budget this year, however no principal was paid toward the debt, only interest charges. The city population and taxable revanue is less than 20 years ago, but yet we have more employees? How's that work?
