Comcast has become unbearable ... their service is unreliable and to get tech support is like pulling teeth. Is there any other internet service available in Greeneville that is reliable or have I become a captive ?

I don't think there are any others of the same quality...(?) I wish there were better options... I am interested to see others opinions so I won't have to shop around as much for it myself. Lol

I would like to find a reasonably priced cable/Internet option which doesn't involve a contract beyond a year. Can anyone recommend something good? I live in Greene Co, despite whatever my location says. I think DISH is crooked beyond words & will not consider them based on my past experiences & those of others.

Century link is who i have my internet with. Got 10mg download speed and am real happy with it. Dropped my home phone with them since I no longer use it. It cost me $39.99 a month. They are fixing to offer 25mg download. They do have cable, phone and internet packages.

We need some competition in Greeneville....maybe prices would be lower.

We can't have competition until the current contract between Comcast and our town expires. Other companies want to serve Greeneville, but they are restricted by our local government's relationship with Comcast.

I use Verizon internet. Got phone, internet package deal. Small module that plugs in a usb port. 4G LTE. or If you have an iPhone you can turn on the hotspot and your laptop can use it the same as any other wifi connection. I'm on lunch at work in a concrete and steel bldg. and have full signal with phone hotspot. Had no problems with Verizon internet whatsoever. Been on their internet since last January when we cancelled our service with Comcast. Only downside is now we have to use an antenna for t.v. Cant afford to get any satellite services. Got good internet though.

Have you ever tried Hulu? I had it at one time and liked it pretty good.

Verizon and Century Link are both good. Tons better than Comcast.

I have had Century Link for several years now & it is a great service. Price is least of them all according to my latest search.

They both suck. Centurylink IS the cheaper of the two though.

Yeah. I have HULU on laptop. I do watch some shows on it once in a while. It is good for me because I like to watch some of the old sci-fi shows that were made in the 60's.
