Oh yes the union was a joke, and yes I worked there while in college, got me through and understand how lucky I have it now. But I will say I had lots of fun working there!

Does anyone know kathy hensly that worked there? She had redish hair. She worked there for a long time. Close to the end she became a boss and she is the biggest BITC* i have ever met. I seen her pick on young girls on her line they were good workers but she just had it out for them for some reason. Not to mention other cruel things she did to ppl. I hope karma has gotten her back by now. If her b*tch ass is on topix i would just like to give you a big F YOU witch!!!!
Don't know her, but sounds like a big AMEN!

Mr Chang, I remember that sandwich. It was a German Bologna sandwich left in a PTV by none other than Ronnie Franklin, on Line 10. If you know me, you know that I was and am a die-hard stickler for QUALITY, and that type of thing was simply unacceptable.

There were a lot of marriages created at Magnavox and quite a few destroyed.

You know, we made pretty good money and had affordable insurance for this area...I was always thankful to have my job there. Like any job it was a lot what you made it to be......I miss the place and think it is so sad to go by plant 3 and see all the weeds growing in the parking lot.

Most of my family worked at Magnavox over the years. My Dad worked there up until the very end. I have heard so many stories. Actually, I had heard the story about the guy going through the wall. It is so sad to go by and see the parking lot empty. I remember back in the 80's, the parking lot would be full when we went by to visit on break.

Does anyone remember that fight out in the parking lot? Two women were fighting over an old man. One of the women was named Vicki.

Was their names Evelyn and Vickie Wilds? and the man was Lloyd Baugh and Vickie eventually married him, I believe.

Yes, I think you are right. That's been a long time ago.

Is that the same Vicki Wilds that is the sister of Kathy Austin on the school board?

Speaking of drugs, drinking, etc. I was a repairman on Line 8 - the very last position before the set went into the box. Sometimes the tester that'd set the convergence would go out and smoke a joint at break. Needless to say, she had a bit of trouble aligning the dots - and that made for a busy night in the repair booth!

I didn't ever work there, but remember hearing of an OSHA inspector having a bad fall while inspecting a wire cage over-head work area. As the story goes he was disabled after that. Anybody with any safety stories?

I knew Evelyn - and I'm surprised she didn't totally mutilate Vickie.
