They are not honest lawyers and she would not be an honest judge. Roger and Linda don't care what they have to do when it comes to custody of little children. And forbid it to be someone who they know because they will tell any kind of lie to cover up for those they know.
Is that the kind of person you want in the courts?
That is total b.s. to say that about either one of them. Sorry you didn't like the outcome of the particular case you have in mind, but there is just so much that any lawyer can do with a case or the people they are representing. But to sit there and say they dont' care about little kids or the case is patently a lie. I'm just not going to let this crap stand on here without refuting it.

There are always two sides at least to ANY story in the legal field. I am thinking of an ongoing case right now where Granny has filed a bogus petition for custody, put TOTAL LIES in the petition (her poor lawyer when he finds out) and if you read her petition, you would think that the parents of the kid are the scum of the earth. It is so friggin untrue and a lie. A lot of grandparents come through the doors claiming that their grandkids are in total trouble and should not be left with the parents. That is a load of horse crap. If it is true, most of the time the Grandparents DO get their grandkids away from the parents. So perhaps, you need to take a hard look at yourself and figure out if you are doing this for the kid or because you dont' like the parents. YOu raised one of the parents, so perhaps YOU were the problem.

And I just want to say this as a final note.. people in custody cases are emotionally charged.. there IS a lot at stake with the end result through the Courts. Most of the time, neither party is happy with the result. Sometimes, you (as their lawyer) get lucky and get the "good" client. However, most of the time, you realize that both sides are fallible and have made mistakes or they wouldn't be in a lawyer's office trying to one-up the other parent and prove they are the better parent and get custody of the kid(s). Examine yourself as the parents. You obviously thought enough of that person at the time to lay down with them and make a baby. No one loves that kid more than the parents, or at least should love them the most. It is sorry parents who cannot put their b.s. aside and sit down together and work out what is best for their kids. They shouldn't have to be in a lawyers office anyway to figure out custody and visitation! Everyone fronts a good personality at the lawyer's office and pretends that they are parents of the year. But, are you? And dont' get me started on crappy parents who are deadbeats and refuse to support their kids. A whole 'nother story... So, instead of getting on here and blaming lawyers for shoddy results, perhaps you should look at the real problem.. yourself.

I'm guessing that you work for a lawyer. Possibly the Woolsey's!

I've worked for attorneys for years.. it's always the same.. the parents who once swore to love each other now try to tear the other parent to shreds. The kids are in the middle and afraid to show they love one parent because the other one is on their butts. And, it can turn into parent alienation. Not every case, but it does happen. A lot of times parents will be fighting tooth and nail.. say everything in the world about the other parent and then, all of a sudden, they grab themselves a boyfriend or girlfriend and the kids are just shoved aside. That parent doesn't even care if he/she sees the kids regularly because they are more worried about getting laid and if they've had the kids, all of a sudden, they don't mind if the other parent is seeing the kids again. I try to tell people to give it some time.. try to get a little perspective about their situation and I ALWAYS ALWAYS tell them that they should be working this out, not waiting for a stranger (Judge) to tell them what's best for their kids.

If someone has a little money an attorney doesn't care about who the better parent is they just need the money. Roger was Roger Jones best buddy and take a guess who Linda's biggest cheerleaders are. The person who started this is right they are both democrats.

What a load of BS. Some one tell me how one Woolsey is the city judge and the other Woolsey is the county judge? The Woolseys are so tied up in the buddy system. Just ask those close to either of these offices and they'll tell you what a joke they both are.

At least be accurate: Linda is a city traffic judge one day a week and Roger is the county attorney.

She is a judge for the city. Boy, maybe that made it more easy for you. I don't agree with all that is being said but I do agree there are other younger attorneys who need to consider running for some of these offices. When you are the age of Linda & Roger Woolsey you really should be thinking about retirement. That's what is wrong around here same old people wanting to run the place.

Most of the people on here and who will vote for this judgeship couldn't even score double digits on the ACT. That is why you end up with a David Hawk and a David Thompson. Vote for the Republican not the Democrat, what crap. Vote for the person who has the education, qualifications and character to do a good job. I do not know if Lynda is the best candidate yet: I will do my research on her and her opponents, then listen to her campaign rhetoric and then decide. To do otherwise and have your minds all made up like the fools on this topic is why we are getting bad candidates into elected offices.
You must not be from around here if you need to do research on Linda Woolsey. She does not deserve to be in public office and neither does Roger. They have and will do whatever they need to in cases to win. Now you might think well that's great but when you are on the receiving end of their tangled web its so un-Christian.

Just don't get it. I know she is close to Roger's age and he is almost retirement age so why are these old geezers running. I agree someone right out of law school should get some experience but there are enough lawyers in their late 30s or early 40s who aren't all used up.

AGREE!! Better not mention her name around my family. My grandmother gave my sister money for her divorce and Woolsey didn't do anything. It dragged on and on and on. Every time she put us off it was the judge's fault. She lied to my sister's face many times.

In our case it was already decided before we even got there. Just don't know how people live with themselves when they know their client is nothing but a liar.

There will always be at least one person that doesn't like a lawyer or a judge. The person that has lost a case against them! Known these people all my life and they are the most genuine caring people you would meet! They have a job to do and they do it. Get over it people and go on with your life! I guarantee you this post is doing nothing to hurt theirs!!
