Edgar Allen Poe wrote:
It was the day after my beloved country fell and all who had wished her dead in the past were struggling in fear of what came next. The Black Death had reappeared and there was no effort to curtail the spread as millions and possibly even billions were dead and no place to put the corpses but huge bonfires which lasted for days as corpses were piled on in a steady stream and reignited the fire. Rapes and murders occurred instantly without thought or reason as the humans became beasts again savage and without mercy. Governments failed, law enforcement failed, and marauding bands of survivalists killed and salvaged what was left. The decline lasted for a hundred years before the humans became extinct as each year they reversed the evolutionary process and became less and less intelligent and the beasts who preyed on them became smarter and smarter and finally the last one was hunted down killed and thrown on the ground to rot away as they had ceased to be edible because of disease and malnutrition. Strange when such a species which had so much to offer destroyed itself and why, the black horse of ignorance slew the white stallion of intellect and rode off threw the sky in hunt of more devastation. And the planet Earth which had so many beautiful and wonderful resources fell dark drained by the terrible nightmare and fell out of its orbit and was smashed into a trillion pieces by a wondering meteorite. And the beautiful one known as the Mother of God allowed a single tear to smear and cascade down her face as she would only allow this one bit of weakness to pass for her lost grandchild.

<quoted text>He is apparently talking about Scott DesJarlais who is a Congressman from Jasper, Tenn. near Chattanooga. He is or was a physician and got someone, a patient I think, pregnant a few years ago, and tried to get her to have an abortion. As a pro-life Republican, that makes him a hypocrite. If he was a Democrat, there would be no problem, because he would be for abortion, and his constituents would not be bothered by his affair or abortion request.
Ah Benny, I see your panem et circenses are going well, drawing conclusions from inane labels, your usual entertaining practice. But I'm concerned about your CIA and Communist spy service you confessed earlier. I'm afraid you might crack under the strain. Do be careful and restrain yourself when their man wheels out the drinks trolley. You might consider returning to the stage. Your exhibitionist vein is better served (and rewarded) there, much more so than on a small town Internet forum. "Palmam qui meruit ferat." An election motto, perhaps? Gore says it's from the empire. I'm not certain which empire he meant. Do keep the fog of war foggy. It's very important to confuse and dissemble. And then the spoils are yours Benny, all yours, on stage or off.

If he was a Democrat he would not even be on the ballot and would probably be hiding from a big bellied Republican Sheriff. Just like David Hawk if he was a Democrat would be safely tucked away in jail now but since he is a Republican he could still be representing the great community of Greeneville in the next Legislative session. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Benny, it ain't marijuana but it has the same effect on the brain for those who still have a brain.

I've stated previously that I am not voting for Hawk. I also wouldn't vote for DesJarlais if he was on my ballot. Most politicians are hypocrites, however.

The most hypocritical line in this whole election cycle came from Phil Roe, "People not Politics" from one of the most Republican of all Republicans in the United States Congress. LMFAO...

as it happens, it happens every day, these little marketing slogans. little ads. It's an effective ad, empty and repeatable, meaningless. Maybe you've seen the altered ads: Rich people, not politics
