Tell us how many industrialized nations have no government sponsored healthcare? I'll tell you the answer, one. That "one" being the United States. We also pay more for the same medical services. The cost of private health insurance here is higher than anywhere else in the world.

This is true. Sad, but true. Healthcare should be considered a basic human right ... not a privilege for those who have money. Hospitals here charge outrageous prices for basic medical tests. The average working class person can't afford them without going into debt even with medical insurance which, in most cases, won't provide adequate coverage. The patient is left with enormous unnecessary debt, while the hospital administrators laugh all the way to the bank.

if EVERYONE that went to the hospital actually paid their bill ..... costs would be a lot lower. 1 out of 20 people that goes to the local ER actually pays their bill. the other 19 pay very little or NONE of their bill. a hospital MUST cover their costs or they have to shut down.
