Just wondering I visited your town with Ecoquest. So what happened to Mike Jackson and his business. I thought Ecoquest was that towns biggest employer. He seemed to be on a little higher level then everyone else...just wondering what he is doing now??

Mike is trying to save his copy printing co. Printing is his new love.
Niswonger loaned him 1 million dollars and now Mike has sold the air co.

This hold same for Morgan Inn with the Greeneville Sun selling their half a few years back. Niswonger is a nice man not to take from Mike or Greeneville Sun what is his. We owe a lot of thanks to Niswonger for helping out our less fortunate business men.

Eco Quest went bankrupt and Mike Jackson"s 15,ooosq foot home is up for sale. Eco Quest was never this towns biggest employer that would probable be DTR.

He was never on a higher level than anyone else but he always thought he was... I guess he did not understand the christian teachings he preach and used to sell his stuff. He always reminded me of a televangelist.

I never liked the air purifiers they sold anyway.I had family who worked there and they got two for being employees. It paid for our vacation one year when I sold it so somebody musta believed the hype.

So what happened to the theater they built?? It is too bad. Mike was a terrible business man. I am surprised they are still living in Greeneville. I would think it would be hard to face all those people that lost their jobs because of his poor handling of money. The product is very good. Mike made a lot of promises to alot of people and he just totally failed!!

What theatre "they" built? Mike Jackson and Ecoquest had nothing to do with the building or renovating of any theatre in Greeneville. The company would rent one in town when they needed a space, but that's the only relation.

The Jackson's did support a lot of local charities, but they spent money like there was no tomorrow. The products that they sold were priced about 8 times higher than what they had in them. An air purifer that sold for $895 had about $110 material and labor in it. If they were selling it at Walmart, it would be priced at about $139.00.

The purifiers didn't have $110 in materials. Much less...

I heard he was opening a new kids christian daycare center with Sherry Melton. They are going to provide skating and other "entertainment". He's going to videotape it all and sell it on the internet. Also available will be some nutritional supplements and performance enhancing drugs. Sherry will demonstrate them with local boys. On special weekends they are going to put the kids in a race car with Mike and Sherry and run it around Bulls Gap Speedway till they all puke. They are going to sell the chance to take a ride via a pyramid scheme. It only costs $349 to buy a Success Pack. Credit cards accepted, of course.

Junior was "head of security" at EQ. and at the same time he was stealing air purifiers from the plant and selling them on ebay! Nice. And some wonder how this place failed.

Labor & materials.
take it from a former employee labor and materials for the funky ass Fresh Air was well under $100. we sent everything to China to be built but HAD to brag/lie that everything was final assembled here when some 4 year old in a sweat shop final assmembled the products. Why do u people think we r still drawing unemployment and going to school for free?

Are there very many people left commuting from Greeneville to Bristol? Are they making the "Fresh Airs" there now?

Anything that EcoQuest sold ws final assembled in China and had been for a long time. Don't know if Aerus, sp?, brought the manufacturing back, but I doubt it. I started with the company in 2006 and most things came from China then, or other third world countries. As far as people commuting to Bristol, not that many. Just a handful was left after the company ceased operations, and they were the ones MJ or Jr thought were cute. And then there is HR who managed to stay employed.

EcoQuest was never the largest employer in Greene County. It is more than likely, DTR or even Greene Valley. I had my hand on alot of inside shit at EcoQuest and it was a poorly managed company from customer service on up to Engineering.

Once everything went overseas I knew the company was going under. The quality went from crap to worse. I was there three years and got 1 effin raise, and was only $0.26, wow, still uinder $9 an hour, thank God for a hubby with good pay.
