Police are investigating the theft of large quantities of hydrocodone and phenobarbital during a burglary at a Greeneville pharmacy early Sunday morning.
Officer from the Greeneville Police Department were called to Greene County Drug on Tusculum Boulevard just before 6:30 Sunday morning to a burglar alarm, and found that the front door lock had been popped out and entry was made into the pharmacy.
Video showed a light colored Chrysler 300 pulled into the parking lot and a white male passenger with medium build wearing blue jeans, a long sleeve shirt, boots and a gray ski mask exited with a tool and popped the lock. The suspect then picked up a gray tote from the vehicle while the driver, a white male with large build wearing similar clothing got out carrying a blue tote.
Once inside the pharmacy, the passenger with the gray tote removed nearly 7,000 hydrocodone pills while the driver carrying the blue tote took 1,000 phenobarbital. About a minute after entering the building, the suspects returned to their vehicle and turned onto Tusculum Boulevard in the direction of Snapps Ferry Road.
The total loss was estimated at just over $1,000.

Shouldn't take much to catch them. Not many Chrysler 300's around.

Seven thousand hydrocodones and one thousand phenobarbitals are only worth $1000?!.

This is all a carefully planned government conspiracy.
First the IRS sends agents into all the walmart stores and they buy up all the 22 ammo. The IRS corners the market, they gather up every single bullet in order to prevent angry citizens from buying any ammo for themselves.
As a consequence of angry Bubba not being able to get any 22 ammo, angry Bubba is rendered unable to defend himself and his family against an invasion by the union army.
Phase 2 of this government conspiracy is now these IRS agents are out pilfering all the pharmacies, stealing away with all the oxy, hydrocodone, lortabs, and whatever else it is that Bubba uses for his back pain.
So Bubba has no bullets to go in his rifle.
And now Bubba is sitting at home all day collecting disability for back pain, he has run out of his pain pills because the IRS agents broke in and stole em all.
Government is trying to take over.

Not street value. More like $50,000 for all that, depending on mg's.
Had to be an inside job.

Bet they would love to have all those pills in the evidence room. They probably be 10 left by next audit.
