Anyone that is stupid enough to vote for Steve burns and put a ugly sign in their yard should have their taxes raised not everyone else's. You see you people that thinks he is a good sheriff need to see his budget. He is not a republican. So when he wins again and the jail is built and taxes are raised the people that voted for the crooked sheriff should have to pay not the rest of us.

Crime is outta control in this town & county. He has many rogue road officers and especially a bunch of trash running the jail & smuggling dope in to people who are addicted. It's a shame how many families have broken up over drugs and the fall out from them. Thefts and pills go hand and hand here. Not to mention joblessness & inability to keep or get a job due to drug problems. Looks hopeless here.

More and more crime every day and all our sheriff can do is say it under investigation by his department.
WE HAVE THE WORST CRIME SOLVED RATE IN THE STATE. PLEASE PEOPLE WAKE UP AND GET THIS MAN OUT OFFICE. 15 YEARS IS TOO LONG FOR ANYONE TO BE IN OFFICE. WE NEED TO SOLVE CRIME NOT CREATE IT.

Until the outta control drug situation gets under control, crime will continue. They only have a handful of detectives. We have had several murders (all or nearly all were drug related in recent years). Those cases take a lot of time. Anyone who has been stolen from or broken in and robbed (also almost always drug related) can pretty much forget about having their crime solved. I don't want to pay higher taxes and I suppose most others don't either; however, the current jail is overcrowded and something needs to be done there. The drug problem is feeding all else wrong here like the other posts said. People would rather steal than work, if there were jobs they couldn't pass a pee test, industries won't come here for an unskilled work force so that hurts the rest of us who have businesses. Vicious cycle.

Happy Easter!

I agree with most of what you said. However I am still for term limits and burns has had way too many terms. 15 YEARS in office is too long for anyone. I just like to see some new blood in there.

Your sheriff department strikes again Steve. Not only are you last in state for crime being solved you can't even keep the prisoners you do have. Time for a new sheriff. Maybe the new sheriff will get employees that will work instead of playing cards all day and night.

All you people voting for Steve burns and have those ugly yellow signs up in your yard. Do not come crying when your taxes are raised. People really need to their home work before voting. Just because you like someone or your daddy always voted for that person does not make them right for the job. We need a change. We tax payers can not afford 4 more years of Steve burns spending.
Think property tax this year when you vote and vote him out. 16 years is too long for anyone to be in office anyway.

He said in the paper he would not change anything about his department and he thought things were good just the way they are.
Not sure what world he's living in but things are not good and if he stays in they will just get worse.
Term Limits need to be set for this job for sure!!

Danny Greene is going to get with in 1400, votes of Steve.
Steve will beat Pat by 200 votes. However Pat could still win. It's going to be close. I just pray people wake up and see that we need a change. Steve has been in too long.
