It is sad that if we want to read the Greeneville Sun Online we have to purchase a subscription to the Greeneville Sun. The online version is free, but you must have a local subscription. Why would they do this when we have many surrounding papers that have truly FREE online editions. Are they really hurting that bad for money.

I doubt that they made enough from the "free" edition to pay the people to put it online. Much of their cost is paid by subscribers. The new online version is much better than the old "free" version. You can now see all the whole articles and all pictures. I appreciate th fact that manyfeatures are still available. The obituary archchive is one section that is still free and useful.

I would rather have a paid online subscription than a hard copy. I wonder if they will ever make that available.
