i think the government should mandate everything no freedom of choice in any matter we cannot think for ourselves anymore we need the government to think out these things for us. we need the government to make all decisions for us no need to consult a doctor the government can decide for us what is best.

I don't believe that the shots cause autism but if my some chance they do I think to myself. "Had I rather my child be heathy and have a chance of getting autism or would I rather my child catch a disease and possibley die if I do not have him/her vaccinated".
If parents keep refusing the shots how long before all these bad diseases come back. Small pox, polio, etc.
I'm curious to know just how many children have died because their parents refused the vaccines.

I have a child with aspergers, I don't believe the vaccinations had anything do with it
I do believe alot of that is hereditary. They just now have a name for it.
I vaccinated my children with all but the chicken pox shot.
Now with that, I don't believe in the government purposely infecting anyone.something is not right with that.
So I do get alot of flack with the schools but like I tell them...if they want to be infected with things from the government have at it. Till than if my child is meant to get the chicken pox they will.

I believe that anything that the govt makes mandatory should be provided at cost by that government. This would keep legislation in check, as law makers would have to consider the financial impact of their actions directly. If the state makes any medical procedures mandatory then they should be provided for free.

However, in this case, the state does not have the power to force a human being to let someone inject them with something in a syringe. The law should stay that way.

Our govt shouldn't TELL US to do anything. Democracy is supposed to work the other way...

Because conspiracy theorists and idiots like you are too stupid to do it on their own. Prior to the widespread practice of childhood immunization, living beyond the age of 10 was something to be celebrated. The benefits of vaccinations greatly outweigh the risks and childhood mortality rates around the world have dropped significantly since their use has become commonplace. These are undebatable facts.

From what I've learned vaccines today are NOT what used to be given. Far from it. Used to be a vaccine against a handful of health issues - diptheria, mumps,measles, tetanus.

Most of the shots are the same as they were years ago, yes they have updated some and made them better and with that we now have chicken pox shots. Baby meds can cause problems as with most pills/ meds there are side effects fever, redness, rash and some meds have worse side effects. With that said my children have all their shots and any child in public school has to have theirs to protect mine. There are parents that don't I feel their not doing whats right for their children.. just like the ones the don't get their cancer ridden child chemo. So many children didn't make their 1st birthdays 40 + years ago because they didn't have their shots. My children get a flu shot every year also for their protection and others.

So you'd rather that your child be at risk for developing potentially deadly shingles later on in life because you're too thick headed to get them vaccinated for the disease that causes it?

For you. The benefits outweigh the risks for you. Have you ever had a vaccine reaction? I have. It's not debilitating, but it was rough. And I was old enough to tell my parents and doctors what was happening, though hard to describe. I was in 7th grade the first time it happened, and high school the next. I wouldn't wish loss of muscle control and 6 months of uncertainty and testing on an infant or toddler.

The government is paid to protect us not to run car dealerships, give banks in other countries money to bail them out, not to take from tax payers to give to ppl w/ a lack of education child credit for having children they couldn't afford. YES the government is PAID to protect us and that's what I like to think I pay taxes for. We're not a Democracy were a republic we elect our presidents, governors etc. Some people wouldn't get their children shots, send them to school where they make other children sick. My child/children shouldn't have to die because they may or may not get sick from a shot.
